MÍGUELS POV:

-----------------------

As I drove away I fumed over my situation.

I can't BELIEVE mama made me and my primas (cousins) move to this stupid town! I understand I've been living here for a few months. But like come on, all I've done is sleep with random girls.

We were so HAPPY in Mexico, well Ella and Hazel weren't, they came from Cuba, but their parents had to send them away when they were 5 because of Fidel Castro. We took them in. They always wanted to go back to Cuba, to find their parents who cut all contact with us because of the danger. They liked Mexico, but it wasn't their home.

In July mama and papa told us we were going to move to the U.S. Hazel and Ella were thrilled, along with Cuba, they were OBSESSED with the Americans. So, last January, when we moved here to Florida, they were so happy because there were so many Cubans and...........

I shook my head, I need to focus. Ella's voice rang through the car.

"Míguel, why were you so mean to the beautiful girl?"

"I was not mean."

Hazel joined in, "Yes, Míguel, you were."

"All I did was look at her!"

"Míguel, the WAY you looked at her, it was not nice"

"Ella, I don't need to be nice"

"I know you are hurting from María, and the move, but please, do not let that get in your way"

"Hazle y Ella, paren, no era para ustedes."(Hazel and Ella, stop, it was not meant for you.)

"I know Míguel. We have to practice our English."

"No me importa." (I don't care)

"You should."

Ok, I have to admit the girl was kind of pretty. But even though María is in my past, I can't get into a relationship this quickly. Everyone back home knew me as Míguel the sweet little good boy. But now that I'm here everything about me is going to change.

ROSES POV

------------------

I got into my little black BMW and drove off screaming out 'Story of my life' by One Direction to get my mind off of Míguel. I know what you're thinking, 'How could a girl like me drive a car like that?' Well, my parents are both the C.E.O.'s of this huge company in New York. I almost never see them. They desperately try to 'spoil' and 'make me happy' with all these expensive things. I just wish they were here more often, but enough of my sob stories.

When I arrived at school, I got out of my car and walked up to New West High. Now, I know I suffer from O.M.G.D. (Obsessive male gender disorder) at times, but the guys at this school are cuteee. Hey, can you blame me? When you go to an all girls school for most of your life all guys are some what attractive.

As I walked in I felt kind of self-conscious. I felt like everyone was judging me. Like they were criticizing me and my every move.

It's okay, Rose. It's okay. Just breathe. I obeyed my inner voice and walked in. I looked in my bag for my locker number. 256... 256... Where is that?

"Where is what?" I turned my head so fast I was afraid it might have fallen off. In front of me stood the one and only Hazel.

"What are you looking for?" She asked with kind eyes.

"I can't find my locker.. It's number 256." I asked, trying not to throw up all over her.

Hey! I can't help it, I don't do well around new people. She kinda-sorta squealed with excitement.

"That's right next to mine, my sisters, and my cousins. Oh I'm Hazel by the way!" She stuck out her hand for me to shake.

I looked at it and thought to myself 'Rose, you are not going to let people walk all over you just take the girl's damn hand' I shook her hand.

"I'm Rose. Nice to meet you Hazel." We walked down the hallway talking. As we were walking, I noticed people were looking at us, or rather, people were looking at me. Let me guess what they were thinking, 'Oh my gosh look at that girl walking with Hazel, she isn't worthy of walking with a Gonzalez.' All of a sudden I hear yelling that interrupts my thoughts.

"FIGHT! FIGHT! FIGHT!" I turned towards the sound and saw Míguel beating up a poor freshman. The freshman, being heard only barely above the crowds noise, was shouting at Míguel to please stop. Míguel wasn't listening as he repeatedly slammed the freshman over and over into the lockers.

Hazel dropped my hand and stormed off through the crowd towards Míguel. I started to follow like the pathetic newbie I am, but I felt a tug on my backpack and turned around to see Ella, with stormy eyes holding me back.

"Stay here. You don't need to get hurt." I watched as Hazel got in between the two boys and screamed at Míguel,

"STOP! PARA! (Stop) STOP THIS NOW MÍGUEL!" Míguel slowly let go, his dark brown eyes reaching hers. He wiped the blood off his mouth as she continued,

"It's the first day of school primo (cousin), por favor (please). Mama needs no more stress."

The crowd split as the principle came through. He looked sternly at Míguel, Hazel, and the freshman boy.

"In my office. Both of you. And the girl." The crowd spilt for the procession the the principals office. Ella let go of my bag. "Come, let's get you to class."
