Rye's eyes were filled with mischief, their prank was going to be the one that would win the week. Ha. There was no way that the hockey boys would come up with a prank quite so exquisite."Ben, what'll the recipe be for the gunk that will pour on them? Make it so they will have it on them for ages, and a little stain so they remember who their betters are!" He piped up, amongst the excited chattering of the boys on the team.
"Well, I was thinking like a slime, but made to be sticky. If we out loads of a food dye in it, it will stain them. plus a really bad smelling essence-oil thing so they'll smell awful for days. We can give each member a different color, and each of us has to wear a bandana of that color. So we design it for our rival, and they will know who it was. personalized see?" Ben says. It was simple enough for the non-artistic boys and if they each mixed the bucket for their rival, the mixture would undeniably be, well. Disgusting. Rye would be mixing Andy's bucket since he was the rival captain, and boy was he going to have fun.
The hockey team ran their cross country course the day after the football team, so the hockey boys would use a different day to get them.
"We have until the end of next Wednesday to launch our prank, the cross country run is on Tuesday. I'll need the info for rope lengths and weights. But until we set-up, each one of you needs to create the most disgusting gunk ever, so pick some colors, boys. I want royal blue, the rest of you can argue." With that Rye left, he was looking forward to this prank very much. He was going to cover Andy in blue dye and make him smell awful, oh, while he was hung upside down for the whole school to see.
His status as the cool, untouchable, mystery-boy would be ruined. Rye could not wait. The high he had received planning the prank was diminished by a day of dull schoolwork, but the rest of the school was alive with curiosity, they knew that the football team had planned their prank. The entire school knew about the rule this year and knew how it meant that stakes were very high, the prank had to count. No room for slip-ups or failures.
The end of school was approaching rapidly and he wanted to spend time planning his 'gunk', he wanted to make it smell vile, and make it very difficult to remove. Rye had this as his top priority, he was aiming to win a scholarship to a university to do football, so his actual A levels meant little to him. He would much rather have fun than work, so long as he got a C he was in.
Rye had no internet other than his phone at home, so on days that he needed to do school research he used the school's library. So when the bell chimed at three, and he had no training he walked up to the library. Most of his team would not be caught dead in here, but needs must. And winning this competition was a must.

Andy had been drowning in whispers and rumors that day, they had made him unnaturally clumsy. knocking into people and just, being stuck in his bubble. Andy and his team did have new energy, as Andy had never taken an interest in prank week. But this year, he felt like he had to win, Beaumont was to be stripped of his golden glory. Unfortunately, his team was not the smartest, most of his team would not go to uni to study anything other than sports. Only Andy and maybe Jack would go to study something academic. He was a pretty good student, so studying biochem was a good option for him. But Andy was not scheming, so any of his ideas would be poor, so he left that to the boys.
All the attention that this week famously brought the players was something he should like, being center of attention, but he hated it. He would much rather be in a quiet corner, reading or looking over his assignments. As the bell went at three - finally - Andy could finally go onto the pitch, he needed to let off some steam. As he entered the locker room, he saw it was already full of lads brimming with anticipation for the ideas. Internally Andy groaned, he just wanted to escape, it was his fault for saying they could talk about it. Dammit, he would just have to put up with it.
All the boys changed rapidly, Including Andy and ran out onto the pitch. Something was different, no yelling or sharp whistleblowing, where was the coach? Andy swiveled his head around, looking for the short, bulky man. His search was interrupted by Sam, who came running over.
"We told the coach you were going to run some drills with us, so he isn't here. Then we made sure he had gone home, so we can just use this to tell you about the awesome ideas that Jack and I have come up with" He looked very proud, Sam was not the brightest but he was very scheming. These were going to be interesting. Andy felt interest spark inside him, now he was away from the whispers and the pressure he could relax and enjoy the prospect of humiliating Beaumont .
"Okay boys, everyone in. Time to decide what, where and when we are doing this prank." Andy put on his 'captain voice'. All the boys ran up to him and they sat in the stands to discuss. He could see that both Jack and Sam were bursting with excitement, they must have a very good idea.
"Right schemers, let's hear it," Andy said. As soon as the option to share was open, the two boys shared a snide glance and Jack began.
"So, last year they did some damage, I have still got some scratches on my car. So we thought, we could leave them stranded in school overnight. Harry's dad is the police chief, so they have a load of old handcuffs in storage, ones where they lost the key. A problem for them, not for us. If we each have a pair, and when they shower on the Wednesday lesson five, just make sure they don't leave the shower. Take the clothes, fold them on top of each of their cars. And, to top it off, leave a nasty smell in the vents, we were thinking garbage, so they are stuck." Jack ends.
"Don't forget, we lock the changing rooms and pull the blinds down, nobody would check until the next day. They would have no towels, no clothes. Humiliating, plus they would just smell revolting. foolproof"
I would disagree, this could go so wrong, in so many ways. But, it sounds pretty humiliating, and if pulled off correctly, it would serve the purpose of getting Rye Beaumont off of his goddammed high horse.
