"Priestess Kaede, do these need to be put here?" Rin asks holding the basket, full of different plants that were going to be used for medication. Looking over her shoulder, she watches Priestess Kaede slowly wobble through the doorway with a smaller wooden bucket of water. Rin swiftly placed her basket on the ground and carefully took the water bucket and held it in Kaede's place.
"Thank you child, age is catching up with me" She says with a slight croak in her throat. Rin softly smiles and gentilly removes the walking stick from its resting place, leaning against the wall. The old Priestess nodded in thanks and took the wooden stick, regaining her balance.
"Priestess, do you thing Lord Sesshōmaru will come back?" Rin asks, staring at her kimono's that were gifted to her by Lord Sesshōmaru. Gently she looked through each kimono, focusing on the different patterns that she had already memorised. Kaede sat down and begun to place wooden logs on the fire.
"Child, yee know that Lord Sesshōmaru ensured that yee stay here, in the village, while he went on a mission" she states, turning to face Rin, watching her pile up her folded kimono's.
Rin had obviously missed Lord Sesshōmaru, not seeing him for the past few years made her wonder if he had forgotten about her. Before he left for the mission, he promised her that he would come back to visit. But as he has been gone for 5 years, there is always that doubt in the back of her mind that Lord Sesshōmaru had failed in one of his battles. Even though she knew that he would be a strong Opponent, there is still that one small chance that he could be beaten in a battle.
"Is there any chance that you know where Lord Sesshōmaru went kaede?" Rin asked, skipping to kaede's side. The old Priestess looked down at her knee's trying to remember where Sesshōmaru said he was going to go to complete his quest. Kaede slowly pushed off the ground standing hunched over, but soon enough started to walk towards a small wooden box. Opening it revealed a silver compass that had words engraved on it.
"Here, take it child. This compass will lead yee to what yee most desire" Kaede holds the compass out to her, Rin slowly takes the compass from the old priestess. She gently opens the compass, and watches as the arrow turns. Rin turns and stops facing the same direction as the arrow did... south.
Kaede leads Rin outside, walking slowly towards the weapon shack, Rin still staring at the compass watching as it changed direction. Entering the weapon shack, Priestess Kaede leans forward grabbing a bow and arrows, also gets hold of an elegant sword. The old Priestess spins around and passed Rin the weapons.
"Child, is this what yee really want? Do yee want to search for the Lord Sesshōmaru and follow him?" Kaede asks with a serious expression, holding out a bracelet. Rin nods and takes the bracelet from kaede and ties it to her wrist. While doing so a bright light blue barrier circled the teenage Rin.
"This will protect you from demons that will get in your way but the effects are different depending on the demon. Also rin, take a horse with you, make your journey a little easier"
"Thank you Kaede, i will find Lord Sesshōmaru" Rin says confidently, resting her hand on her new sword, with doing so she spun around and walked out of the door. The old Priestess quickly stumbled to the door and watched as Rin set off to find Lord Sesshōmaru.
