Galloping past trees that outlined the path, Rin pulled on the reins, slowing the horse to a walk. Reaching into her pocket, she grabs the compass and opens the lid. Watching as the arrow slowly moved, she pushed the horse forward. Suddenly, the horse stops and begins to walk backwards, adding in a rear. With all four hooves back on the ground, the horse lets out a loud screech, forcefully turning 180 degrees. Sprinting off, the horse left Rin on the ground, making sure it was the one who was going to survive.

"Ahhh!" Rin mumbled in pain as she rubbed her head. Pushing off the ground she wiped off the dirt that rested on her clothing. A light grumble came from the bushes, the green leaves beginning to shake. Rin turned to face the shaking bushes, quickly she puts the silver compass in her pocket and pulls out the sword, getting ready to kill the mysterious creature.

Jumping out of the bushes, a 6 foot lizard Leaps towards Rin, hissing and showing its fangs to her. The lizard runs forwards and try's to attack Rin, with it doing so, the blue barrier re-appears surrounding her. The demon begun to spasm as it got electrified, after landing back on the ground, the demon came back a second  time almost pouncing on top of Rin. Swiftly, she drew out her sword, ferociously swinging it at the demon, slicing it in half.

"Im glad that i had this bracelet from Priestess kaede, without it i would have been killed" she says to herself, putting away the elegantly designed sword. Taking a deep breath, Rin started to walk down the trail, hopping over the occasional wooden log or rock. Watching where her feet went, her eyes moved to the bottom of her kimono. The hem of it was the same colour as the dusty stoney ground.

After walking for what seemed like hours, Rin sat on a rock, resting her aching feet. Taking off the thin foot-ware, she was taken aback when she saw blisters covering nearly every inch of her foot. The other foot didn't look any different. Sighing loudly, she leant back on the rock staring at the sky, watching the clouds slowly fly past.

"I hope i find Lord Sesshomaru soon. Even though i have only started my journey today, it feels like I've been searching for him for forever" she says to herself, beginning to close her eyes. The sky slowly got darker, the air colder and the land quieter.

The golden sun began to rise, birds happily tweeting making a soft tune, leaves dancing with the wind. Without any warning, a low pitch growl came from the trees that surrounded the trails. Hearing the growl, Rin instantly opened her eyes and lifted her self off the rock, looking through the trees. Staying alert, she placed her hand on her sword and the other on her bow, not knowing which weapon would be best for the situation.

Another roar came from the forrest, this time louder and more clear, the creature obviously noticing her and getting closer. Remembering the bracelet that Kaede had given her, she breathed out in relief, thinking that the bracelet would keep all demons away. Letting go of the bow, she confidently drew her sword and held it up to the direction of the growls.

Slowly, wolves emerged from the trees, growling with saliva dripping from their fangs. Rin shuddered when she saw them, she was outnumbered. Watching all of them edge towards her reminded her of the time that she was killed by them, then afterward Lord Sesshomaru saved her with his Tenseiga.

"Oh no, there's too many of them, not even the bracelet will withstand all of their attacks" she says while stepping backwards. The first wolf jumps forward at Rin, swinging its claws at her, but resulting in getting electrocuted by the barrier. Shaking off the stun, the wolf growled louder and begun to quickly walk towards her, the other wolves following this time.

Walking backwards, Rin started to hyperventilate, knowing that she was going to lose this battle. Before running she slowly put away her sword but continuing to stumble backwards. Spinning around she began to hurdle through the trees, darting past obstacles that lay in her way. Loud ferocious barks followed her, slowly catching up, snapping their jaws together to scare her even more. Speeding past branches, one slit open her cheek. She didn't even notice it though, she was more focused on staying in front of the wolves.

Reaching a tall oak tree, she began to stumble up it, cutting her hands by pulling herself up it out of the wolves reach. Swinging her leg over the branch, she held herself up and began to take deep breathes. Taking a peek, she looked down at the wolves which were trying to get to her, jumping off their hind legs and scratching the bottom off the tree.

She wipes her cheek, thinking that she was crying as her sight was a little blurry, but she jumped in surprise seeing that her hand was covered in blood. Wiping her cheek once again, a puddle of blood sat in her hand. Not knowing what to do she takes a rag that she had in her pocket and places it on the wound.

"I hope they leave soon!"
