The silver engraved compass

Walking back through the woods, Rin followed close behind him, with Jaken trailing behind talking to himself. Lord Sesshomaru stopped and looked around. He finally turned to face Rin and Jaken, telling them to take a break and rest.

"Rin, go search for food, you must be hungry" he says in the same tone of voice. Jaken shouts her over while walking towards the woods, her jogging to reach him before he got too far away. Watching Rin and Jaken walk away, Sesshomaru had a light feeling of deja vu, telling her to fend for herself... It brought him to the past memories of her that they shared. Memories like her laughing, smiling expression that changed his view on humans and how she always did as he told her.

Hearing a shake of leaves, he spun around searching for the culprit who interrupted him and his thoughts. Blood coloured eyes stared from the distance, between the trees the creatures sat waiting to catch Sesshomaru off guard, even though they messed up their chances by waiting. Sesshomaru readied his claws but remained standing in the same place.

"What business do you have here?" He says sternly, making sure to add a small glare. However the demons continued to stare, their glowing eyes pulsing. After 10 or so seconds, they emerged from trees that stood in front of Sesshomaru, wolves slowly walked out but shortly after stopped and didnt try to attack him. The grey and brown wolves separated making a walkway down the middle. A tall, furry, black wolf appeared, it began to to make its way towards Sesshomaru. This particular wolf was much larger than the other that surrounded it.

"I have come here because i have senced that our stolen sacred item has been here a short while ago. I have simply only come to retrieve it" the towering black wolf states while sitting calmly on the ground. Sesshomaru put away his claws.

"Well what is this sacred item?" Sesshomaru asks still coldly looking at the pitch black wolf. The wolf lifted his paw and a hologram appeared. The hologram displayed a round metal compass, silver with a gold outline and engraved words, an unknown language to Sesshomaru. The hologram slowly span until the tall, furry wolf let his paw drop, in which it disappeared.
"You may continue on your search..." Sesshomaru says turning around beginning to walk in the opposite direction. He walked forward, now heading to find Rin and Jaken. He thought it over and Rin could still be traumatised by her experience with wolves, how they killed her.

(Time skip) (about 5-10 minutes)

"Jaken! Are these poisen berries?"Rin asked pointing to the black berry bush that lay beside them. Jaken sitting on a rock, he simply crossed his arms and shook his head, answering Rin's question. She jumped in joy and started to pick the berries off of the thin branches, throwing a few into her mouth, chomping them down as she hadnt eaten since  she was at the village.

"We should go back to Lord Sesshomaru soon. If not, he might become ang... LORD SESSHOMARU why have you come to us? We were just about to leave" he says leaping in the air and running towards Sesshomaru. Jaken wasn't provided with an answer... only silence. Rin turned around too to greet him but her face was stuffed with berries and she could clearly speak. Instead of repeatably trying to talk, she did a small bow to show him respect.

"There is no need to bow Rin, i already know that you respect me" Sesshomaru softly says while facing her. Rin had a response of a small blush that spread across her face. Feeling a flutter in her heart she looked at the ground and held her hands in front of her. She didnt think that lord Seashomaru would ever tell her not to bow, she never really thought about it though.

A growl rumbled from behind the blackberry bush,  there sat a wolf ready to pounce. Startled by the dog, Rin let out a small gasp in which Sesshomaru jumped towards her. He carefully pulled her towards him so that she stood in her embrace. Feeling Lord Sesshomaru's grasp, she felt the little flutter rumble in her stomach, she felt her face flush and burrowed her head into his chest trying to hide her embarrassment.

The wolf hurdled out of the leavesheading for Sesshomaru. The wolf swiped its claws towards him not realising that he was swiping at the demon he had met not even 10 minutes ago. Sesshomaru growls at the wolf and dodges its attack, pulling Rin along with him as he only just missed another attack.
