(Harry's POV)
I couldn't stop thinking about what the first day at my new school would be like. I was hoping that it was going to be different than the last school I was going to, because I was bullied like CRAZY there. But I figured that since Dudley wasn't going to the same school as me this time, I would be fine.
The first day came quicker than I could have ever wanted it to. On our way there, I couldn't stop tapping my foot or fidgeting with the tightening straps on my backpack while Dudley made fun of my hair or outfit the whole way there.
We finally arrived, and I got out of the car as quickly as possible. I walked to the door of the school and took a deep breath. Wow, I thought to myself. This place is big! I walked through the halls and approached my locker while keeping my head down the whole time. I slowly put in the code and opened it, and right as I did, it slammed shut. Or, more like, someone slammed it shut. Not this school to! I thought to myself as I turned to see who it was. It was a really blonde boy with grey eyes and a smug look on his face.
"You're new here, huh?" He asked me. I raised an eyebrow.
"Uh, yeah. It's my first day at this school," I stated cautiously. He nodded and held out his hand.
"Draco Malfoy. And you are?" I took his hand and shook it.
"Harry Potter," I replied. Maybe he was just... trying to be nice?
"Cool. Well, my friends and I were wondering if you'd want to sit with us at lunch. It's not a big deal, it's only that we're the most popular group in the grade." He said.
"Uh... I'll think about it," I said. I opened my locker again and I heard him walk away. I let out a breath of air that I didn't know I was holding and put my stuff into my locker before I heard the bell ring, and I then headed to class.

(Draco's POV)
School's always been pretty chill for me. I do good in my classes... most of the time, and I'm pretty damn popular with a lot of friends. So as I said, it wasn't ever that big of a bummer for me... until one day.
I arrived at school expecting it to be like any other day. Y'know, boring and WAY too long, but then I spotted someone that I didn't recognize. He had longish black hair and wasn't very tall, and from the distance I was at, it looked like he had green eyes, but I wasn't sure. As I looked at him for a little longer, I realized how attractive he was.
When I got inside, I followed him to his locker and slammed it shut when he opened it. He glared at me, but I didn't really care.
"You're new here, huh?" I asked. His eyes were green.
"Uh, yeah. It's my first day at this school," He replied. I smiled and nodded before I held out my hand.
"Draco Malfoy. And you are?" I asked him. Damn he was attractive up close."
"Harry Potter," He replied and took my hand. I then offered to have him sit by us at lunch and told him how popular I was (I didn't want to brag, I just wanted him to sit with us really bad and this way he was more likely to). But even after that, he only said he'd think about it. Who the hell does he think he is?
When lunch came around, I looked around, but Harry wasn't there. Or, at least, I didn't see him. I looked around for a little bit longer, and saw him sitting next to Ron Weasley and Hermione Granger. I knew that I shouldn't have, but I started to feel really jealous. I felt the anger start to well up inside of me and I couldn't stand it, so I left. I left the school and ran across the street to the park. I know I'm pathetic, but I was having a bad day. I sat on a swing and just started crying for no fucking reason. (I'm in a mood while writing this, sorry XD I just finished my homework and I'm not in the mood to be writing, but I've held off on doing this for way too long.)
(Harry's POV)
I went to lunch, got my lunch, and tried to figure out where to sit. I looked around for Draco because he was the only person who actually talked to me. I looked around for a little bit, but I couldn't find him. Then I felt someone tug on my shirt while I was walking by a table. I looked down and saw a redhead guy and brown haired girl.
"Do you have somewhere to sit?" The girl asked, "Because you can sit with us if you want."
I thought for a minute and scanned the cafeteria one last time before I nodded and sat down. We sat for a few minutes before I looked over at a table and saw Draco staring at me with an unreadable expression. Then he suddenly stood up and ran out of the cafeteria, and I followed quickly behind. I followed him all the way out of the building and watched him cross the street to see what he was doing before I did something stupid. Draco then sat down on a swing and started crying. I decided to walk over there.
I approached Draco with caution and tapped him on the shoulder. He looked up at me and quickly wiped away his tears before he stood up and put a stern expression on his face.
"Hey, Draco, it's okay! It's just me..." I said to him. He didn't seem to care.
"Go away, Potter. This is your fault!" He said and shoved me.
"Draco, please. I just want to help. What's wrong?" I asked him. He started crying again.
"If you actually cared, you would sit by me like you said you would!" Draco whined.
"Oh, is that what this is about? I just couldn't find you. I was going to sit by you," I explained, and his stern expression dropped.
"I'm so sorry you saw me like this, Potter. I'm a mess." Draco apologized. I hugged him.
"Tell me what's going on." I offered. He pulled out of the hug, wiped his tears away, and nodded. He sat me down on the curb and he explained everything. He explained all of the pressure he was under and how he needed to please his parents, especially his dad, and how he was disappointed in himself for not following in his fathers footsteps. I hugged him and we sat there for a while...
And that's how I met my husband.
(Okay! So, I know I said I wasn't in the mood to type or write or somethin' and this ended up being very long XD and I still didn't put a ton of detail, but Idk... I had a hard time writing today so this ended up being weird. Hope you enjoyed anyway! See y'all later!)
