"Yes sir"—KJ said walking toward the door. I know the relationship Kace and KJ had. I wanted him to understand the fundamentals of sticking to together and being there for his mom and siblings.
"You know your dad loves you. More than anything in this world KJ?"—I said walking next to him down the hall
"Yes sir."—KJ
"Well, I want you to know that he's going to be ok.."—I said before arriving infront Kace hospital room.
It hurted me because I'm assuming this the same thing my wife had to sit down and tell my kids whenever I got hit overseas. It's like a curse and my son was caught in the widths of it. I never wanted Kace to get evolved in this world, but he's a man and I let him be a man. I've raised a fine man this I know.
"That's him in there grandpa?"—KJ
"Yeah that's him. Do you wanna see him?"
"Yes sir"—KJ
We entered the room and KJ rushed next to Kace. I did my best standing talk like a man and not crying even though it hurt me to my soul to see my own blood, my seed in that hospital bed. Whoever did it, had to do die. God forgive me.
