WHEN SKY MET THE OCEAN

Chapter 2(Aarohi's POV)(part2)

All of my luggage was examined and sent to the luggage storage of the plane through the baggage conveyor.
I went to the waiting lobby to take some rest. I turned on my phone to switch to airplane mode and switched it on again. I have a very weird sensation about going to Seattle. "Passengers of flight number 14099, are requested to arrive at the departure terminal", the airport attendant announced. I hurried to the departure terminal and went down through the adjacent bridge which led to the plane.
I searched for my seat and luckily I got a window seat. I arranged all my light luggage inside the cabinet above my seat.
I turned on my mobile to check the time. The hostesses gave safety instructions for turbulence and other emergencies. The flight was about to depart in another half an hour.
Soon I would be in Seattle, Washington.
I took out my neck pillow and my blanket. The flight departed. I saw out from my window. The entire aerial view of Mumbai was stunning. The entire city was glittering with small glints.

I woke up. It was 3 am in the morning. The entire cabin was asleep with tones of snoring which varied from low to high rhythmically. The passenger next to my seat had fallen over my shoulder. I pushed him away. I got up from my seat and went to the washroom. After peeing, I rinsed my mouth and washed my face with water. The flight was about to land in more than 2 hours. I applied some moisturizer and a light lip balm over my face and to my lips. I combed my hair and tied it up into a bun. I walked out of the washroom. I requested the air hostess to provide me with a cup of coffee. I went back to my seat. The view from my window was mesmerizing. The air hostess gave me a cup of coffee which was not as good as I expected but still it relieved me from my headache.

Soon after the air hostesses announced that the airplane would land in about 30 minutes. I folded my sheets and my neck pillow and arranged them inside my handbag and took out all my extra luggage from the above cabinet. The plane landed and all other passengers rushed to leave the airplane. I hurried to the baggage conveyor to pick up my luggage. I went to the airport canteen to eat something cause I was very hungry. Before that, I had to exchange my currency to dollars. After that, I ordered two toasts with a king-sized salad. After eating I stepped out of the airport. " Can you drop me to Nicholas empire-building in 31st Dunsmuir street? " I asked the taxi driver. "Yes come in!" He replied.
The entire city was so calm and quiet. The streets were traffic-free. Most people were walking on the footpath. Seattle was so unlike India. But I was in love with the peaceful atmosphere. The taxi dropped me near the empire-building at Dunsmuir street. I was awestruck by the sight of the building. Is this the right building? I have never seen a building to be this high ever in my life except in movies. Am I worthy enough to work here? It's still a question to me. I walk towards the entrance of the building.
