chapter 3 (Brayden's POV)

"No! No! Please do not kill her, please! No! No!"

I cried out in horror. It was again a nightmare. I went to the kitchen for drinking some water. I checked the time it was 4 am in the morning. I went to my study room for checking my tomorrow's schedule.

Life seems to be so positive and happy except for those who have a horrible curse on them since their birth. Nobody... Literally, nobody can change You. Money is the only thing that can satisfy human emotions of love, lust, hunger, and even enmity.

I remove my Tshirt and go to my workout room for doing some cardio exercises. I lift some of the weights and continue with my regular push-ups and stretches. After completing my morning ritual I went straight to the bathroom to take a shower. I wear my dark blue suit with a white shirt which properly ironed and with a classic dark blue tie and black polished shoes.

"Sir, your breakfast is ready!", said Maria(Brayden's housemaid). "Yes, I am coming" I replied.

"Sir, all your meetings are scheduled after 1 pm. The Livent company wants to meet you this Sunday. There is two important invitation this week, one from the Country club for their third anniversary and the other one from an Italian tycoon named Wills Raymon for his new businesses venture in Seattle ", said Alexia.

"Is that all for today?" I asked.

"Yes, sir. Umm... Sir also our company recruited eight new employees for various departments. Would you like me to submit there CV's and other information records to you?" Alexia asked. "Let the managerial department handle it. I also want to know about the state of the rival companies, so bring me their reports.", I replied. Alexia nodded and left my room. My phone suddenly started vibrating in my office table. I picked up the phone.

"Bray! How are you son? You are really busy these days. You haven't come home this weekend", asked my mother. " I am alright mom, do not bother yourself too much. Yeah I have been a little busy this weekend so I couldn't come home but I promise to meet you all soon", I replied. "No, not soon! You have to come tonight for having dinner with us. We will have a great family time tonight", mom said. " ahh! Sure I will come there tonight", I replied. "Bye-bye! Bray. Don't work too extensively you will get sick", mom said. "Bye! See you tonight", I replied.

"Sir the investor is here. He is waiting for you, " Alexia informed. I left my phone on the table and left for the finance meeting.

"The sales of our company have raised to a decent limit", announced Alexia. I nodded.
Mr. Elon appreciated the fact.
"Also our company worths 350 million dollars, making us the richest company in all over Canada", said Alexia. "I really congratulate you all for this success. By the way, Brayden, are you ready for the honour that you are going to receive next Sunday in the Wellington hall", said Mr Elon.
"Oh, I haven't heard about it yet. Alexia, you didn't inform me about this. Did you?", I asked Alexia.
"Oh don't bother her. I am the first one to be notified about this. Besides the invitation are not yet printed", said Mr Elon. " Oh I see", I replied. "Fine, I will take a leave and take care of yourself", said Mr Elon. "See you soon", I replied
