"Announcement," our stat prof said to get everyone's attention. This elicited a few laughs from the class. I declare our next meeting as 'fun lecture'.

The class then became very silent. "Whoever tops the exam does not have to perform." The class then started to talk again amongst themselves. Sarcastic whispers like ay nako, 'di na pala ako mag-pe-prepare since ako naman top could be heard all around. I just smiled in my seat and kept quiet.

Oh diba, bongga."

"Daming alam ni sir," my seatmate whispered to me. I chuckled.

The student assistant waved.

"Oh sige na, you are dismissed. Some laughed while others moved to stand up and leave. I picked up my bag and made my way out, too.

Juan was waiting for me outside my class.

"Extra early today, sir?" I said playfully. He grabbed my bag as we walked towards his car.

"Got free cut. Also training was moved to 4:30," he said as he opened the door for me. "Thank you," I said and got in.

He handed me my bag and hopped on the driver's side. He smiled without facing me. "You seem to be in a good mood today."

"I am. I don't know why, either. Just a good day I guess," I looked at him by the last sentence with a bright smile. He caught my eye for a second and focused back on the road.

"Sinag, can you get my phone? It's there sa pocket nung bag," he told me.

"Yeah, sure." I opened his bag and pulled out his phone. I was about to unlock the phone, but it had a passcode.

"Password?" I asked.

"746240." I entered the PIN and the phone unlocked. I immediately opened the camera and snapped a selfie with Juan caught smiling while driving.

"Unfair. You're always prepared for supposedly stolen shots," I pouted. He just smiled wider.

"Open IG and add a story of the road." I did as he told me and took a video of the road, but then we encountered a hump in the road that made me accidentally hit the front cam. "Oh my gosh!" I squealed and impulsively leaned towards Juan in shock. We were both caught laughing in the end.
