''The man who fathered me, who in my eyes was nothing more than a miserable dog, was known for not being able to curb his desires.

While he was out having his fun with girls that could've been his daughters age-wise, his wife, my wonderful mother, and his two sons, my brother and I, were waiting for him hopefully every night. Every single night we were hoping for him to come back home. A little less angry, a little less drunk. But he never came back and with him, the hope for a normal childhood vanished.

My mother cried herself to sleep every night while she hugged me and my brother tightly. She tried her best to hide her pain from us but the wounds were too deep to be hidden. Day after day she tried to convince us that he wasn't a bad person and that he was only going through a rough time since things were difficult for him at work. She promised us that everything would get better sooner or later and that we could finally be a book-like family, but my brother and I had already accepted the reality.

From the moment we could think for ourselves we knew that he was a self-centered and characterless asshole that couldn't love. In his little world, there was only him and him only. The rest of us were just characters that lost their value faster than expected.

After 25 years of marriage, she couldn't bear his infidelity and the people's judgment anymore and ended it all on the 3. December 2011.''

he said without shedding a tear

Ella was taken back for several minutes. She didn't know what to say nor what to do. She just sat there quietly with tears flowing down her cheeks. How could someone intentionally cause so much pain? Why does one wrong decision change your whole life?

Her unexpected reaction caused Hyuk to curse himself like never before. It took him years to cope with his traumatizing childhood and the loss of his mother and now he's expecting a complete stranger to just pretend it's nothing? Wondering how he could apologize for making her feel even worse than she already did he finally stood up, without thinking twice, and gave her a comforting hug. Even though he was scared at first that it might be a little too much for a stranger to hug her like that, she didn't reject him, and the hug started to feel like the most familiar and comfortable thing ever to him after the death of his mother.

After a long hug, they finally separated and left was only an awkward and intense silence.

''Its already 5 am -time to go I guess. I would like to thank you so much, Dean, for everything. I'll never forget what you did for me and I seriously owe you something. '' She said grabbing her jacket and purse, ready to leave. But before she could even make it out of the bar, Dean called her name.

''Ella! Before you go-Could I maybe get your number? I know it's weird of me to be so straight forward but I appreciated tonight. Could we, like, maybe, keep in touch?''

'' Oh. Look, I'm so sorry Dean but this was just a one-time thing. I'm thankful for the drinks and the nice conversation we had but that's it. I'm not searching for friends or anything like that. I'm sorry for the misunderstanding.'' She said mercilessly.

'' We-'' But before he was able to end his sentence she was already gone.
