Crashes, and laughing followed by mild curse words was the usual alarm clock for most of the kids on the Isle. The ones who had okay parents. The kind of parents who didn't always want to bite your head off if your did something 'wrong'. As for the ones who did, they had a much worse wake up call. 15-year-old Mal was one of them. She lay in bed peacefully dreaming about her and her friends, until she heard her door swing open. The teen didn't even need to look up, she knew exactly who was at the door. She held her eyes tightly shut as heavy footsteps approached her bedside. The thin sheet that cover her was ripped away roughly. Dirty hands grabbed at the girl and tore at her clothes. Opening her eyes Mal saw one of her mother's henchman standing above her, staring down at her. A gruff chuckle erupted from the man, as he looked at the girl.

"Your mother was not very impressed with you sneaking out last night. Now must I remind you of the consequences for disobeying the rules." His voice rumbled. Mal whimpered at the man's words, earning a low chuckle from the man. She closed her eyes and tried to focus on the girl she would be seeing after this was all over.

The man tore each item of clothing from her body and roughly violated her. His hands touched her in places only a lover would be allowed to touch. Throughout the entire thing, Mal had her eyes closed as she slipped into a sub-conscious place. Every time Mal would be punished her mind would take her to another place, in-order for her to be able to endure the pain being inflicted. She stood in an open forest surrounded by flowers and trees. There were small lights strung between a few of the trees outlining a small clearing. In the clearing was a blanket where the young girl could sit. The area was nothing like the Isle. The trees had leaves and there were living flowers dotted about the grass. Mal always thought of it as her depiction of Auradon, but how would she know she's never been there.

She took a seat on the blanket looking up at the sky. It was a light shade of blue, with a very light hint of red. The colors reminded her of her best-friend and crush, Evie. The daughter of the Evil Queen was her favorite person to be around, other than her twin. The taller girl was always around to comfort Mal whenever she needed it most, and Mal was there for her. Carlos and Jay were there too, but Evie was the only one that knew her inside out.

Mal sat staring up at the sky, until it all started to slowly fade away. Her eyes opened as her door slammed shut. A searing pain hit her as she sat up. She limps over to a broken mirror that sat in the corner. Looking herself up and down, there were several cuts and scratch marks covering her body. Her hip was bruised, and there was blood dripping from her busted lip. Ignoring the increasing pain, she got dressed and jumped out her window into the street below.

Mal limped the streets for a good ten minutes, until she finally reached her destination. She grabbed a rock, throwing it at the yellow sign that triggers the door. The rusty gate slides open and the teen ducks under it making her way up the stairs. Her body ached as she dragged herself up the stairs, trying her best not to make any noise. Making it to the top she spots her friends all sitting around the room. Jay was on one of the beds tossing a ball up in the air, when he noticed the beaten and bloodied girl. He jumps up and rushes over to his friend, alerting the other two. Evie saw her best-friend and took note of the blood dripping from her mouth.

Jay picked up the purple haired girl and rushed her to a bed. Carlos ran to grab the supplies they would need to help their friend. Evie was at Mal's side in a flash, already helping Mal out of her jacket. This was nothing new for the four friends. It was routine for one of the VKs to show up bloodied or battered. Carlos rushed in with a box of bandages and medical equipment, whatever they could find on the isle.

"Carlos go get the tub ready. Jay, I need you to go grab Hayden, he should be here. I will get Mal out of her clothes and asses her condition." Evie instructs her friends. Mal was laying on the bed writhing in pain. Evie had managed to get off her jacket, shirt, and shoes, but she was waiting for the boys to leave before continuing. After hearing their orders, the boys took off in different directions. Evie heard the doors close and slowly moved over to Mal. The teen was still thrashing around the bed, almost as if she was trying to escape the pain.

"M, I've got you. You're all right I promise." Evie says grabbing her best-friends hands, holding them tight. Mal stopped moving around and focused her gaze on Evie's eyes. The two looked into each other's eyes for a bit longer, before Evie moves to finish what she was doing. Mal had managed to tangle herself in a sheet while she was rolling around. Evie slowly pulled the sheet from her friend, noticing small dots of blood scattered on it. Looking down at Mal's jeans, she noticed the blood stain at the crotch.

"Mal, what happened this morning?" Evie asks timidly, keeping a calm voice. Mal took in a sharp breath and closed her eyes.

"I-I don't really know... I wasn't awake for most of it. I know he raped me, and I think he beat me, but I can't be sure." Mal explained just above a whisper. Evie's eyes widened shocked at the response she got.

"You think he beat you?! M, you have a cut down the side of your face! Not to mention the bruises up and down your body." Evie says slightly raising her voice. Mal sighed leaning further back into the stiff bed she lies on.

"I'm sorry, I shouldn't have raised my voice." Evie says backing away from the bed. Mal shakes her head taking a sharp breath.

"No, I'm not being very helpful. I know it helps to know what happened." Mal mumbles. Sitting up slowly Mal reaches out for the taller girl. Grabbing her hand, she pulls her over to the bed.

"I know it's frustrating, trust me I do. Every time you come home holding your neck, because some random slob marked you as his own. I just get so angry with myself that I couldn't be there to protect you. This happened to me because I went against my mother's rules. If you had been there to help, they would have done it to you too. You know how our parents think. If they don't get their way, they take it out on us. That's not your fault, so stop thinking it is." Mal says holding the girl's waist as she stayed seated on the edge of the bed. Evie stood holding Mal's face, being careful of the cuts. You could still see the pained look on Mal's face as she spoke, but she chose to ignore the agony her body was going through.

"Now I'm going to take my pants off and I'm gonna need your help." The purple haired girl says laughing a little. Evie smiles down at her friend and nods at her words.
