Chapter III

Prince Charles danced with only Cinderella the whole night. The maidens in the ballroom were filled with intense jeaolusy.

"It's been a long time since I have danced" Cinderella said.

"Really? How come, my lady?" the Prince asked.

"It is almost midnight and I have not dance with the Prince!" a girl with a red colored gown with puffy sleeves.

"He has been dancing with that flirt all night!" the girl with puffy sleeves's friend exclaimed.

A lot of maidens have been complaining that they have not danced with the Prince or the Prince has not noticed them yet. They were jealous of Cinderella and the Prince. Though, Cinderella and Prince Charles didn't seem to care, their eyes were locked with each others and it was like they were all alone.

"When I was younger, I used to dance with my father. We used to spin around the room with only our voices as our music" Cinderella smiled, reminiscing the days when her father was still alive.

"Oh, uhm, your Highness" Cinderella quickly added.

"No need, my lady. You may call me, Prince Charles or just Charles" He grinned.

"Alright then, Charles"

*DOOONG*

A loud sound was heard. It was from the big clock on top of the king and queen's throne. It was 11:55, it was almost midnight.

Cinderella heard the sound and quickly remembered that her stepmother and stepsisters were going to be home on midnight.

"Charles, I have to go" Cinderella bid goodbye.

"What? It is only midnight? I am going to announce something for the crowd!" Prince Charles said with excitement.

*DOOOONG*

"Charles, I really have to go" Cinderella ran through the exit as she heard another loud noise from the clock. 11:56.

"Wait! I have not yet gotten your name!" Prince Charles shouted. He ran quickly to be able to catch up with Cinderella.

Cinderella reached the large, bronze panel door with elegant carvings, the exit. She stopped and quickly breathe for air.

"My lady!" Prince Charles shouted, running through Cinderella's direction.

Cinderella hurriedly went out of the castle and went down the stairs. Her heart was pounding fast, very fast. She was afraid that her stepmother would be home before she does. And when that happens, Cinderella will be endlessly tortured by her stepmother and stepsisters.

Cinderella's glass shoe fell off from her feet. She did not noticed she was running to the carriage with her left foot, bare. The glass shoe was left on the stairs going to the entrance of the castle.

"My lady! Your shoe!!!" Prince Charles shouted. Holding the glass shoe. It was too late, Cinderella was already inside the carriage and it quickly went home.
