Chapter IV

Dear Diary,

Last night was incredible. The royal ball was filled with extraordinary gowns and scrumptious food. Though, it seemed unlike me to sneak out of the house and go to the ball...Lady Tremaine certainly made it clear that I was not allowed to attend the royal ball. A lady appeared outside of our front door last night. She introduced herself to me as my mother's sister, Aunt Cecilia. I was aware of the phrase 'stranger danger' though that phrase did not occur to me when she talked to me. I felt normal around her, it was like I have already met her before. She brought a gown with her for me and it was the most beautiful clothing I have ever seen. My wish came true. She gave me shoes, glass shoes with a sapphire stone. Because of my luck, I left it last night. I think I left it in the castle when I was running away from the Prince. It could have been stolen by now. Aunt Cecilia would rage in anger by this. And the prince...Charles, his eyes were very lovely. Blue as the ocean as I can recall, it was like I could fall for his deep blue eyes everyday. He danced with me the entire night. With just one night, I feel I have already fallen for him.

With love always,
Cinderella

"Oh my!!!" A loud screech was heard downstairs. Cinderella quickly ran downstairs; she thought there was an emergency.

"What is the matter? Cinderella asked.

"The Prince is looking for his future wife! He is finding someone who will fit this glass shoe everyone is talking about! And that someone is going to be me!" Drizella exclaimed.

"Very funny, sister. We all know that I am going to be that someone" Anastasia smirked.

"Cinderella!" Lady Tremaine called.

"Yes, stepmother?"

"Come with me"

Cinderella followed her stepmother to the attic.

"What are we doing here?" Cinderella curiously asked. She just cleaned the attic two days ago and it was the same as she left it.

"Cinderella, my dear. As you heard from your beloved stepsisters, the prince is visiting all the houses with maidens to fit the glass slipper" Lady Tremaine explained. She was walking around the attic with her evil eyes at Cinderella's.

Cinderella swallowed. Her palms were all sweaty. Maybe her stepmother knew she sneaked out and went to the ball. Maybe she saw her dancing with the prince all night. Maybe she saw her running away from the prince and left the glass slipper. This kept running around Cinderella's mind.

"My dear, you do not really know how this world works, do you?" She still kept walking around until she reached the door.

"You're not fit for the prince, to this family or to anyone!" She shouted at Cinderella.

"...and you never will be" She quickly locked the attic door.

"Stepmother! Stepmother!" Cinderella hurried, she kept banging on the locked door shouting for help, no one answered.

Her stepmother, Lady Tremaine was afraid that Cinderella might be the one who'll fit the glass slipper.

"What am I going to do? I can't be locked here until the prince leaves!" Cinderella asked herself.

She saw a door going to the balcony. Hoping it wasn't locked. She turned the knob and the balcony door opened. There was another balcony with an opened door at the floor below and it lead to Anastasia's bedroom. Cinderella had a brave soul, without the help of anyone, she used the old wooden ladder near the attic's balcony to get to the balcony of Anastasia's bedroom.

"Good morning, your majesty" Stepmother greeted and curtsied along with her two daughters.

"Good morning ladies" Prince Charles smiled. He was with three guards behind him in case someone tries to attack him and with his assistant, Job.

"Let's get going ladies, we have 12 more houses to go!" Job said, he looked really tired but still smiling at the same time.

"Me first! Me first!!!" Anastasia said immitating the voice of a little girl.

As Drizella was about to speak, Lady Tremaine shot her an angry glance.
