GLIMMER
The tube begins to rise, and soon the sun is blinding me and the wind brushes against my skin. Then the minute count down begins.
"60, 59, 58..."
I spot a bow and about a dozen arrows leaning against a crate probably full of food near the cornucopia. I aim my feet in that direction.
"29, 28, 27..."
I look left to right, seeing whose beside me. To my left thankfully is Marina, and to my right is the girl from district 10. She's short, weak, and I'm pretty sure she got a 3 in training. Piece of cake!
"10, 9, 8..."
I glare and smirk nearby tributes, but then I see Thresh 4 people to my right at my expression drops. Then I look straight back at my bow.
"3, 2, 1, 0........ DONGGG!" The gongs sounds And I sprint my hardest to the cornucopia. I see a pretty sharp knife nearby, so I grab that instead of going for the bow. I see the fat girl from 10 dragging her fat rolls out of the cornucopia with a backpack. I run over to her and tackle her to the ground.
"No! Please don't kill me! I'll do anything!" She pleads.
"This will only hurt a little bit." I whisper. Then I repeatedly stab her in the chest. She begins screaming, until she all of a sudden goes silent. I got my first kill! I begin dancing, until I trip and fall. Then I see a large figure holding an axe hover over me. It was the boy from 8! He grabs me by the throat and slams me into a crate. The boy rips the knife out of my hand and throws it at a nearby tribute, killing her.
He lifts the axe above his head, about to bring it down when a sword slices through his neck and his head falls off. Behind him stood a blond, tall boy with blood splattered all over him, holding a sword covered in blood. Cato!
"Cato! You saved me!" I cheer. Then I run over and hug him.
"We don't have time for this! There are still a lot of tributes needed to kill!" He replies. "Take this because that guy threw your knife." Cato pulls out a long, sharp sword from his belt, and hands it to me.
"Thanks." I say. Then I happily run to look for more tributes.
I spot the girl from nine trying to escape a fight. As I begin making my way towards her, I see Marvel spearing the girl from district 7. A clever idea pops onto my head. As I run by him, I slice open his calve, then run so fast that when he turned round, he didn't know who did it.
I grab the district 9 girl by the hair, yank her over, and slit her throat. Then I drop her and leave her choking on her own blood.
As I turn back to the cornucopia, I realize that our alliance are the only people alive here. We all meet up at the cornucopia.
"Is anybody hurt?" Marina asks.
"I got my calve cut open, but I don't know how." Marvel replies.
"Hmm that's weird. Try this." Clove says while handing him a tube of some weird cream and some bandages.
"Thanks." Says Marvel.
We spend the rest of the day sorting through crates and boxes, organizing all our supplies. Then we evenly distributed some stuff between us to put in our backpacks.
CATOI probably shouldn't have saved Glimmer. I only save her because Brutus says I need sponsors. But Clove could've gotten me sponsors too! I noticed that she wasn't wearing the ring I gave her. I don't blame her. I wouldn't be surprised if she didn't even bring it. I will make everything up for her soon, but I don't know how yet. I will soon.
