For months the scientists had tried to awaken the souls laying dormant within their everyday objects to protect themselves from the monsters most animals had evolved to be. Some key ingredient was missing , and so more people died.The labs were attacked and raised by the monsters getting revenge on the foul creatures that had stole all of mother earth from them. One day, an eager young lady wandered into one of the wrecked labs, the exact one her older brother died at.She had seen the carnage and only escaped thanks to her brave older brother. And now she walked back into the depths of the desolate lab. Rose , which was her name , had figured it out. The scientists who had tried to awaken these souls had one major lacking, a worn soul. Most had rich or richer pampered lives, which she and her brother did not.In fact they grew up poorer than dirt. They watched their family members waste away from simple colds because of lack of treatment. Rose had finally found the laboratory where the final formula had been developed . She held it close and thought of her brother, adding in the final ingredient, a tear of true emotional pain. The emerald green vial of liquid fizzled and turned a ghastly white, like a stolen soul trapped in a bottle. She wouldn't have time for a trail and error as one of the animals from that horrid day approached. It slunk out from the shadows like one of the cats from the old days. Its sleek body was a bright orange but it's nasty snarl and horrendous razor claws showed it wasn't as friendly as it ancestors. "Dang it !" She huffed knowing she could lose her life if this didn't work.Quickly, Rose spilled the white liquid onto a nearby pair of scissors as the beast approached slowly, almost taunting her. It was as big as the Lion's of old and knew it could devour her in a single bite. Nothing happened , everything sat still.....except the monster before her . It finally lunged forward and she just whispered"Brother , i thought i could save everyone and yet , i only managed to die myself " She shed a final tear as the cat leaped at her. And the scissors reacted , a human like creature impaled the beast from behind, a scissor like blade piercing it tough steel like hide. "Don't mess with my Retainer" the cold looking male said.His whole arm was attached to two blades so sharp , you couldn't see the edges head on. He stood tall with an open stance , his skin a tan galaxy dotted with constellations of freckles. His messy silver hair shone and reflected any light and his deep blue clothes made his silver irises glow a light navy. His open mouthed grin revealed a set of pointed sharp looking teeth , in a friendly way. He wiped a droplet of blood from his face and liked it off his hand revealing a blue tongue as well." Scissors , here to save you my princess!"
