Twisted Rocks and Busted Batteries.

    The team of scientists who had been working on awakening the Item Memories were brilliant people , all of them having fabulous lives and never knowing tragedy , except two. They were Crisp, a young boy whose horrific life reconfigured his very humanity , and Shiro , a poor young man who watched his youngest sister die from a wild animal attack.  

  Trial and error , trials and errors , errors , ERRORS. The team was being driven mad by their constant failures, each wanting something. Money , fame , power, and lust. Crisp just wanted someone to talk too, who could be happy and sad with him. Shiro wanted to never watch another of his siblings die from anything he could stop. He never wanted to see Rose , his second to last sibling to ever be sad again. 

     As they got closer and closer to the antidote so did animal attacks. Cats seen 20 miles away, raven attack 17 miles away, land sharks seen at the nearby beach, and so many more... Then Halloween came. 

    It was an iffy holiday , but his sister always loved  dressing up . This year she was a scientist and he was a young boy. They planned on just hanging at home and reading some books. Hopefully , she would be ok. He cried at the thought of her ever being harmed , he cried so hard his tears began  to flood into  his work . 

 The liquid fizzed and turned a ghastly white . Like a bottled soul. " Hey Shiro did you actually-" Crisp started before he was stopped by a cry and a splatter of blood on the window outside the lab .

      " We better hope like hell this works " Shiro stated pouring it all over a mossy rock his sister had given him,but inside were beautiful green gems.   Nothing happened , Crisp took the liquid and tried himself,  pouring it onto  a small battery his dad had given him before sending him away. Again nothing. 

 The door was smashed open and a few of the beasts stalked in. " Get behind me !" Shiro said to Crisp and the other scientist in the room. They did as they were told.  Crisp had also grabbed a small  metal box, just big enough to hide himself inside.  

  " Goodbye Rose" Shiro whispered as the beast lunged at his throat. " NO,NO,NO" said a spunky looking girl who was quite filled out . Her stretched fingers crackled with electricity . Another quieter looking girl appeared behind her in a moss green hoodie and really short shorts. If you looked closely you could see the skin on her stomach was emerald green and crystalline.

  Still even with these two new allies Shiro died and so did the other scientist only leaving Crisp, under his box, passed out.The Battery snatched him up and ran. The Rock however took a moment and cried at her failure,she found a mossy rock on  a nearby table and picked it up. As she caressed it , it grew legs and a dog like head as well as a tail and  two places on its face sunk in for eyes. 

     She took her new companion and hid in the forest , deep within a cave , taken care of by her rock. Slowly she started leaving back quickly returning. Until the day a strange little boy bumped into her and another boy came at her...
