Shackles
she fights to become free
of shackles that
she can't even see
so she writes to find the shackles
invisible to every eye
and she reads to search for clues
of chained creatures like herself
a constant search for evidence
that her bonds are even there
because what if
oh, what if...
this has all been in her head
