FIFTEEN

[CRYSTAL continued]

Crystal and Chelsea followed after the others as they made their way to Evie's castle.

"I really hope they found Ben." Mal said.

"This place digs." Uma said.

"I got a really good deal." Evie said as they walked into the castle.

Dizzy, Squeaky and Squirmy lay asleep on the couch.

Celia, who had been holding Sam's hand, tugged on it, walking them closer to the couch. Sam fixed the twins' beanies, fixing their glasses.

"Shh it's okay." Celia said, putting her hand on Dizzy's shoulder. She picked up a blanket, placing it over Dizzy and the twins.

"Don't worry Dizzy." Celia said. "We can fix this. And once we do they're going to let all this kids off the Isle. So happy dreams."

Celia strokes Dizzy's hair, as Sam placed her hands on her shoulders.

"They're going to be okay." Sam said as Celia nodded, fixing the blanket for them.

Crystal, Gigi, Mal and Uma followed Evie into another room. Maddie had gone with the boys along with Helia.

"Who's the dude?" Uma asked as Evoe rushed forward, shaking his shoulder.

"Doug." Evie said, shaking his shoulder. "Wake up. Wake up."

"He's been spelled." Uma said turning to Mal. "Is she not a fast learner."

"She's emotionally involved okay." Mal said as Uma nodded.

"Well in that case she should be able to break it." Uma said as they all turned to her. "True loves kiss? Works every time?"

"Well we haven't actually used that one yet." Evie said as she looked down at Doug's

"It's worth a try." Gigi shrugged.

"It is isn't it?" Evie said. "Can we be alone?"

Gigi, Crystal, Mal and Uma filed out the door, though they peered through the glass.

Evie walked over, picking up a barrette, holding tightly.

"She's going to sing." Chelsea muttered. "I'm tired of singing."

"Don't freak out, it's okay. 'Cause  true love can save the day." Evie sang, holding the barrette to her chest. "And  I think we feel the same. But I don't know. When we met, it was sweet. He  was oh so into me. Seems  like things are meant to be. But I don't know."

Does  he love me? Or does he love me not? Do I love him? And is it strong enough?" Evie sang, laying down and sighing before getting back up. "One kiss."

"One kiss, one kiss. It all comes down to this." Evie sang as the theta exhofed her words. "One  kiss, one kiss. Oh, oh, oh, oh. One kiss, one kiss. This moment could be it. I, I, I wanna know. So here I go (go)." Evie leaned to kiss him but thought against it.

"Keep it cool, keep it calm. Think he's loved me all along." Evie sang, walking over Doug, and staring in the mirror. "But maybe I got it wrong. So I don't know (hey). He's so good, got my back. But maybe I'm just too bad. Could we be a perfect match? Now, I don't know."

"Does he love me? Or does he love me not? Do I love him? And is it strong enough?" Evie sang as the others rolled their eyes.

"One kiss, one kiss. It all comes down to this. One kiss, one kiss." Evie sang as they echoed her, tapping their feet impatiently. "Oh, oh, oh, oh. One kiss, one kiss. This moment could be it. I, I, I wanna know. So here I go (go). Yeah, here I go."

Evie walked out of the room, and opening the door and walking out.

"Evie what the fuck—." Sam said.

"Hush she's finding her courage." Crystal said. "You go girl!"

"I feel my heartbeat beating saying 'It's gonna work'. But if I'm dream-dream-dreaming, this is gonna hurt. Either I will or I won't. What if I do and he don't?" Evie sang as she made her way back to the castle. "Is he my Romeo? Oh, there's only one, one way to really know."

"One kiss, one kiss." Evie sang as they were waiting for her to make her move. "It all comes down to this. One kiss, one kiss. Oh, oh, oh, oh. One kiss, one kiss. This moment could be it. I, I, I wanna know. So here I go (go). Here I go. Here I go."

Evie pressed her lips to Doug's, pulling away and thinking nothing had happened. And it hadn't.

"Oh E." Crystal said, placing her hand on her shoulder. "It'll be okay."

"Yeah." Mal said. "It will be."

"Who wants cake?" Crystal said, changing the subject. "I don't think that it's going to get to Jane anymore."

"Maddie and Carlos worked so hard on it." Gigi said. "But it looks good so we're eating it."

"Can I do your fortune?" Celia asked Sam who shrugged. "Pick a card any card."

Sam picked up a card, turning it Celia.

"This is the Queen of Swords." Celiac said. "Which represents your past as a pirate princess."

"Cool." Sam said, picking another card. "What's this one?"

"That's the empress card." Celia said. "Which represents your present state ,motherhood."

Sam picked one more card, turning it toward Celia.

"That's the Wheel of Fortune card." Celia said as Sam drew her final card. "That means in the future, there will be an inevitable change."

"Thanks Celia." Sam said, giving her five dollars. "I'll give you that even if you still owe me."

"Fifteen dollars now huh?" Celia said with a shrug. "Hey Crystal can I read your fortune?"

Before Crystal could object, Celia flashed her card deck.

"You're first card is the sun card." Celia said. "Because in the past and now you spread joy and positivity."

Crystal picked another card.

"That's the lovers card." Celia said. "That means right now you're in love."

Crystal picked one more card.

"That's the Page of Wands." Celia said. "It means in the future you'll get a sense of freedom from whatever your burden is."

"Here." Crystal said handing her fifteen dollars. "Now you can pay Sam back."

"I'm no longer in debt to you." Celia said, handing the money to her.

"Thanks." Sam said, slipping it into her jacket pocket.
