[CRYSTAL continued]

Crystal knocked on Audrey's dorm door, hearing the sounds of sniffles from the other side of the door.

"Who is it?" Audrey asked, trying the best to not sound like she was crying.

"It's um Crystal." Crystal said, hearing the click clack of Audrey's heels as she approached the door, the door swung open and before Crystal could react, Audrey pulled her into a hug, sniffling.

Crystal patted her shoulder, as Audrey pulled away and mustered a smile.

"You're a great friend." Audrey sniffled. "Nobody else bothered to check on me. Other than Chad and Angel but they're annoying."

"No problem." Crystal said, shutting the door behind her. Audrey sat down on her bed, patting it for Crystal to sit next to her. She shut her journal, putting it under her pillow. She sat as regally as she usually did, but there was a sadness in her eyes. A part of her was missing. The light in her eyes had been stolen by the sadness in her heart. "Are you Okay?"

"I will be." Audrey said, mysteriously, looking away from Crystal. "This shouldn't have happened to me. I shouldn't have let myself become this low. Nobody looks up to me anymore."

Crystal thought of saying something but thought against it, letting Audrey vent out her frustrations. Maybe if someone listened she'd feel better.

"What hurts the most is having to pretend like nothing's wrong, that nothing hurts at all." Audrey continues. "Putting the past in the past. But I can't do that. I was humiliated in front of the whole school! He chose her over me! He didn't have the decency to break up with me properly. Maybe it would've been different if he had. If he hadn't confessed his love for Mal without telling me he didn't feel that way about me before. But he broke me Crystal. He can't just throw me aside! I can't be forgotten. I have to at the top."

"That's cool and all." Crystal said. "And I know you've been through a lot but don't act until you know what you want. Until you're sure about joe you feel you know."

"Yeah." Audrey said. "I'll do that. But you know Crystal, it hurts that he made me feel so special and tossed me aside when he found something he thought was better. I am better. I'm the best option. There shouldn't be any other choice other than me."

"He's kinda engaged." Crystal said. "And it's a bit too late—."

"It's not too late." Audrey said. "Engagements aren't permenant. They can be broken. You know what Thanks Crystal. Now I know what to do."

"You do?" Crystal asked, confused on how she helped.

"Yeah!" Audrey said with a huge smile, leading Crystal out the door. "I'll see you later Crystal!"

As soon as Crystal had gotten out of the room, Audrey's smile had fallen. Sure she was smiling, but she was breaking inside. Ben had left her without an apology and that had been a mistake on his part.

The hardest thing in life was seeing someone you loved, love someone else. Audrey was tired of it. She wasn't going to be a second choice. A second thought. She picked up her journal and continued her sketch, a picture of her with pink and blue hair.

"I'm so tired of pretending. Where's my happy ending?" Audrey wondered aloud, shutting her diary. "I followed all the rules. I drew inside the lines. I never asked for anything that wasn't mine. I waited patiently for my time. But when it finally came. He called her name." Audrey stood up walking toward her desk, lifting up a picture of her and Ben. "And now I feel this overwhelming pain. I mean it's in my veins. I mean it's in my brain. My thoughts are running in a circle like a toy train. I'm kinda like a perfect picture with a broken frame. I know exactly who to blame."

"I never thought of myself as mean." Audrey sang, lifting up a mallet and exiting her dorm, walking toward the Museum of Cultural History. "I always thought that I'd be the queen. And there's no in between. 'Cause if I can't have that. Then I would be the leader of the dark. And the bad." Audrey entered the museum, shutting of the security system and walking last the sleeping guard. She followed the sign that led her to the Queen's Crown.

"Being nice was my pastime. But I've been hurt for the last time. And I won't ever let another person take advantage of me." Audrey continued, walking around the Crown. "The anger burns my skin, third-degree. Now my blood's boiling hotter than a fiery sea. There's nobody getting close to me. They're gonna bow to the Evil Queen. Your nightmare's my dream. Just wait until they fall to my wicked schemes."

Audrey smashed the glass, grabbing the crown.

"I never thought of myself as mean. I always thought that I'd be the queen. And there's no in between. 'Cause if I can't have that." Audrey sang, holding the crown tightly in her hand. "Then I would be the leader of the dark. And the bad. Now there's a devil on my shoulder. Where the angels used to be. And he's calling me the queen of mean. (Calling me, calling me). The queen of mean (Calling me, calling me). (Calling me, calling me). The queen of mean."

"Audrey." The staff of Maleficemt beclouded. "Audrey!"

"Something's pulling me. It's so magnetic. My body is moving. Unsure where I'm headed." Audrey sang, drawing closer to Maleficemt's staff, waving her hands over it. "All of my senses have left me defenseless. This darkness around me. Is promising vengeance. The price that I'm willing to pay is expensive." Audrey sang, pushing aside a bucket of apples and placing the crown on top, waving her arms around the scepter. "There's nothing to lose. When you're lonely and friendless. So my only interest is showing this princess. That I am the queen. And my reign will be endless (Endless)!" Audrey exclaimed, her blonde hair was replaced to the one in her drawing.

"I want what I deserve. I want to rule the world. Sit back and watch them learn. It's finally my turn." Audrey sang, placing the crown on her head and holding the scepter in her hand.

"If they want a villain for a queen. I'm gonna be one like they've never seen. I'll show them what it means." Audrey sang, spinning with the staff, creating plumes of pink smoke. "Now that I am that. I will be the ruler of the dark and the bad. 'Cause the devil's on my shoulder. Where the angels used to be. And he's calling me the queen of mean. (Calling me, calling me). (Calling me, calling me). The queen of mean (Calling me, calling me)."

"I want what I deserve!" Audrey hit the staff on the floor the lights going out. Now her reign would begin.
