[13 YEARS LATER.]
"Izuku!"
Izuku Midoriya bounded down the stairs, essentially racing from his bathroom to the kitchen. His fluffy, forest green hair flopped along with his movements, and his undone tie trailed behind him as it hung awkwardly around his shoulders.
"Coming!" he dragged, before clumsily landing himself onto a seat around the table.
Inko inspected her son closely before frowning a bit. "Izuku, your hair is a mess. You have to make a good first day impression at U.A."
Izuku sighed a bit before practically inhaling the rice before him.
"Mum, your worrying again," he smiled brightly. "I'm in my third year now; I'm seventeen. I can handle myself."
Inko stepped back and stopped fussing over her son's naturally messy hair. "I guess you're right. Remember to bring your essentials back to your dorm with you."
After a semester ended, students were free to stay with their parents over the break.
Midoriya packed his bag and headed to the door.
"I've already packed everything. My heat aids and toys too, before you ask," he muttered the last bit in embrassment.
His mother positively beamed. "Ah! Glad you're becoming more responsible. Don't want a repeat of last time-"
"I'll be going now!" Izuku hated to cut her off like that, but he hated remembering embarrassing incidents. His anxiety would eat at him as a result.
He practically zoomed through the door after bidding farewell.
___________The bell was minutes from ringing. Izuku began searching the halls for his group of friends, Uraraka, Iida, Todoroki, and Tsuyu, but oddly he found none of them.
He however spotted an unmistakable head of spiky blonde hair. He fastened his pace.
"Hi, Kacchan," Izuku's voice was bright and friendly; as per usual. Katsuki sneered in disgust. He stood several inches over the omega, thanks to his second gender.
"Don't fucking talk to me, nerd." He huffed miserably. Izuku laughed awkwardly, scratching his neck.
"Bakugou! Don't be so unmanly," Kirishma stressed, walking up to his friend–or rather, boyfriend– and placing a hand on his chest to calm him down. It seemed the red head was constantly on high alert to correct his partner for his natural hostility. "Oh, hi Midoriya!"
Izuku's gaze fell to the floor and stayed there. "Hi, Kirishima."
Bakugou didn't miss the instant change in Izuku's mood. He scoffed. Entitled nerd.
"Leave me alone, Shitty Hair," the blonde muttered, but made no move to move the red head's hand. Izuku's lips slightly curled in displeasure, and his eyes narrowed to slits.
That didn't go unnoticed either. "What's your problem, shitty Deku?" Katsuki mocked. Izuku's gaze shot up to meet his.
His green eyes glinted, and his voice was sharp and low. "Nothing."
The tone was snappy and Izuku's irritation seeped through it.
The entire conversation flew over Kirishma's head and he grinned. "Well, class is about to start, dude. Let's go before Aizawa gets on our ass."
"Hmph." Bakugou allowed himself to be dragged along by his partner. Izuku sighed before following bitterly behind.
Who knew that after all this time, Katsuki would be this disgusted at the mere sight of him. To the point where he'd ignore his parent's wishes and date someone besides his actual fiancee.
Then again, that was very Bakugou-like.
The dynamic of their friendship had been broken once Izuku was discovered to be quirkless. Katsuki, only five, had the basic understanding of his link with Izuku. But being prideful as he was, he had cast his future partner aside, saying he had no intention of "being mates with a nobody."
And so, that train of thought developed into bullying.
Izuku found himself to either have high tolerance, or a low level of self respect. But what other option did he have other than to wait for the asshole he somehow loved so much? He had a very low chance of finding an actual mate, so all he really had was Bakugou.
His mother had no idea, and that only worsened the severity of the situation. Izuku couldn't imagine bringing himself to tell his mother that. He had never told her about the severity of his bullying growing up, deciding to protect Katsuki's reputation.
She knew that he and Bakugou had been at odds for years, but she simply brushed it off- blaming it on hormones and the awkwardness of growing up.
She had no clue Bakugou had been seeing someone else, either.
As Izuku settled into his seat, he couldn't help but think negatively. That Katsuki had begun dating Kirishma just to spite him. To show him that he had no intention of mating with a former quirkless nobody.
I guess I really am entitled, he thought.
