Reflection/the season

It had been almost a year since Hannah's death. Brian remained independent. He was always found on the porch staring up at the sky. Justin Approached him and gently placed his hand on Brian's shoulder. I not only found Hannah as an alpha but as a friend. Brian was very, very distant he kept his own thoughts from the pack. Carry on with the day I need time to grieve. Brian spoke. Im going to go on a walk. I nuzzled Justin.

I looked up at the sky. Why god? Why her? I thought. (Birds chirping) Today was sunny and strangely peaceful. Even though its peaceful that doesn't mean to let your guard down. Didn't catch a whiff of anything. Today was tots bliss. I took in a deep breath Mmmmmmm fresh air! Funny thing is its mating season. Justin had just remembered. CRAP! he ran off to find me. (Branch snaps) I immediately turned around. A male from the left arrived (in wolf form) There was also a male on the right as soon as they spotted each other it was on. The fight that would change everything.

(Males are rather aggressive towards other males during this time of season.) Grrrr! Justin appeared and let out an angry snarl. Shes already mine. He growled. I saw her first. The one on the left said. IS THAT A CHALLENGE! the one on the right growled. So be it. Justin growled. Ill take you both on. He added. The fight was brutal. Justin lost bet you didnt expect that. The successor was the one on the left. A stronger alpha. By law I was forced to depart with him for I belonged to him now.

Lets go. He said and I didn't hesitate. The law is the law and I know better than to break wolf laws for they are most sacred. Breaking wolf law results in death. Justin was super pissed. Brian spotted his approach. Let me guess you lost? I dont want to talk about it. There's always next season. I know that wolf he traveled here from Alaska there's no way hed travel all the way here next season there's no hope. Thats odd one traveling all this way just for a mate. Brian spoke. What about you? Me nah Hannah was the only one for me. Carry on with the day without me. It was a rather long journey to Alaska. It began to snow as we made our way to the border. He nuzzled me and we kept moving forward. Its winter here its going to be chilly under your paws for a while. Thats alright as soon as we get indoors it'll be warm. Indoors? he asked. Wait you dont live in a house. Cabin? Nope were known as the wolves of the wild. (As a werewolf hygiene isn't an issue) I've heard stories in the pack about the wild ones. Thatd be us and a few other packs out there unlike our pack and others were not tame nor domesticated you my dear shall learn our ways.

The wild ones rarely took human form they relied on their wolf side more. Thats why theyre so wild they hunt, they survive on instinct and we live out in the forest. Wheres your pack? Our pack is waiting for their alphas to return. (him and I) It was getting dark Im normally not outside well at least Ill get to use my wolfs night vision more than usual. When we were in territory, he howled to signal our arrival and waited for their response and soon after a chorus of howls followed in.
