Chapter Eight

"I think the toasted oat pieces are better than the marshmallow charms." Johnny said holding a box of cereal, Lucky Charms to be exact. Taeil gave him a disgusted face and grabbed the box. "What is wrong with you?" He said, tossing it into the basket. "What? I just think the marshmallows are too sweet and the texture when i bite it, is weird?" Johnny added to argument. Taeil shook his head and pushed the basket, walking away from Johnny.

Johnny had to go on a "job" out the country so lately he's been spending tons of time with Taeil. No matter if Taeil was busy, he would always tag along. Like right now, Taeil need groceries and Johnny came along. Johnny watched as Taeil looked at his list in his hand and then the items on the shelves. Ever since they started spending more time together, Johnny had notice some cute mannerisms the older had.

Sometimes Taeil would balance on his tippy toes unconsciously and sometimes he would fiddle with the nearest thing to him when he's spaced out. Or when he-

"Johnny, do you think i should get another box of ramen for the 2 for 1 deal?" Taeil said interrupting Johnny's thoughts. "Uh yeah..yeah." He answered walking towards Taeil. The older simply responded with a silent nod and tossed both boxes of ramen into the basket. "I think that would conclude my shopping trip." Taeil said spinning around to his basket and began to turn around to head back to the front of the store. Johnny followed Taeil back to the payment area.

Once they paid, they walked out of the store, both of them carrying a few bags from the store. "Think we can stop for coffee? Jaehyun's working, so I'll get a discount." Taeil asked looking at Johnny. "Sure." He answered the older.

Once arriving at the coffee shop, Taeil had gotten permission to keep his groceries in the staff breakroom in the back. Taeil and another employee carried the groceries to the back as Johnny wanted up front by the ordering station. "So what's really up with you and Taeil?" Jaehyun asked standing on the other side of the cash register. "What do you mean?"

Jaehyun rolled his eyes. "You seem dense. Like you guys dating or what? He's been ditching on some of our friend-dates to hang out with you." He infromed the other and crossed his arms. "We aren't dating. I can't date." Johnny simply answered.

Jaehyun narrowed his eyes at him. "You famous or something?..Now that I think of it you do look like the porn actor I watc-"

"I'm not in the porn business and I'm not famous either. Just people don't date in my line of...work." Johnny cut Jaehyun off. "You know, your very vague person. Kinda mysterious. Maybe that's why Taeil is so in love with you or something. He was always talking about wanting something new....then poof a giant man, who kinda looks like a cartoon character, shows up." Jaehyun rambled on a bit. People behind Johnny started to complain on how long it was taking for him to order, stopping Johnny from aanswering the question.

"I'll just have a black coffee please. Taeil will order when he gets back out here." Johnny stated and Jaehyun shook his head. "I'll just get his usual." Jaehyun told the other then turning around. He still wanted know about this Johnny guy. Even if he's hot, it's odd how he just popped up into Taeil's life and now they're all buddy buddy. Call Jaehyun jealous, Sure. Still Jaehyun was just a bit concerned on who exactly Johnny is. Once serving the coffee into a cups and brought it back to Johnny. "Here ya go." Jaehyun said placing both of them counter, then pressing a few things on the cash register.

Johnny handed Jaehyun his card. Jaehyun swiped it before handing it back with a recite behind it. "Have a nice day, now move along before i get complained about to my boss again." Jaehyun spoke too soon as he turned seeing a women in her 40s talking to his manager. "There's always a Karen to ruin your day y'know." Jaehyun smiled and shooed Johnny away. Johnny laughed slightly and walked to a table and sat down wondering what was taking Taeil so long.

Speak of the devil, Taeil walked out of the door marked 'employees only' and straight to Johnny. "Sorry I was taking so long. Jungwoo was in there and he wanted to talk." Taeil told the younger, looking at coffee. "Ooh, looks like my favorite, Jaehyun tell you?" Taeil said reaching for it. Johnny nodded muttering a small 'yeah.' Taeil nodded with a smile and sipped his beverage, giving a satisfactory "ahh" after he his sip.

"what are you gonna wanna do after this?" Taeil asked breaking the silence. Johnny shrugged, "Probably go put your groceries away" Johnny answered him. Taeil nodded, "Yeah but after that, are you gonna stay the night, again?" He asked taking another sip of his drink. "If you want me too" Johnny answered back. Taeil's cheeks had turned red, as he looked down at his drink. He gave a little shrug, "well i think we could have fun this time-" Taeil began and Johnny's eyes widen a bit and looked at Taeil.

Taeil noticed and his eyes widen too. "No! Not like that kinda of f-fun-" Taeil was quick to fix his mistake. "I mean like do sleep over games and eat a lot of food! Maybe even invite my friends over" Taeil answered a little more quietly since his previous shout had caused people to stare at them. "I mean, i was down for whatever kind of fun you wanted to have" Johnny smiled softly seeing Taeil's ears turn red as he looked out the window. Tonight was gonna be a good night.

Once the boys where back at Taeil's, Taeil had called all his friends over for a sleep over. " Y'know we are adults now, right?" Taeil said as he opened the door seeing Jaehyun stand there with a big smile on his face in a onesie. "If they weren't for adults, then why were there adults in the commercial?" He answered Taeil. Taeil didn't really have a response for that so he just pulled the door wider for Jaehyun to walk in.

In the house, already sat, Jungwoo and Lucas. "oh here is the onesie i ordered for you Jungwoo" He said and pulled another one out of his backpack and handed it to his quiet friend. Jungwoo gave him a smile before going into another room to change. "Also i invited Ten, if you haven't already" Jaehyun informed the older sitting down on the couch. Taeil nodded silently. He didn't exactly plan to invite Ten. Although Taeil would feel like an asshole for not inviting him, he didnt want him near Johnny.

A knock at the door was heard and Taeil turned pulling the door open. "Oh hey Ten." Ten just smiled and held up of alchohol. "Ready to have fun" He said with a smile and pushed past Taeil inside. Taeil shut the door letting out a heavy breath. He felt like Ten had other plans then just this sleep over.
