The President's Enemy

Seulgi's POV

I still can't believe what just happened. Irene was shot in front of my very eyes. It should have been me. Now, I understand how she feels when appa died saving her. I don't think I can be able to move on if something happened to her.

"She's safe now. The bullet didn't damage any of her vital organs. She's very lucky." the doctor said. "She'll be awake soon."

Wendy tapped my shoulders and Ms. Yeri said. "Don't worry anymore Seulgi. Unnie will be fine."

I was relief with what the doctor said. Thank you Lord. After that, the First Lady and the President came. I knew for sure that they will be mad at me. I just failed them as her bodyguard. Ugghhh

"Agent Kang, can we talk privately?" Mr. President said.  Then we went to a private room where it's only me and him.

"I'm sorry Mr. President. The bullet should be for me but Ms. Bae protected me." I said lowering down my head.

"There's nothing we can do about it and besides I'm expecting that one of these days it will happen. I knew from the start that she's torturing her bodyguards for them to resign cause she doesn't want them to be in danger or died just like your father. And you being her favorite ahjussi's daughter there's more reason for her to protect you and besides I also knew that she asked you on a date." Wow, he's very updated with everything. "Honestly, I don't have anything against it, in fact I like you for my daughter but that makes me so worried about this whole thing."

"What do you mean by that Mr. President?"

"I'm afraid that because she have feelings for you, she will do everything not to lose you and that includes risking her life so I want you to promise that you'll do everything to protect her."

"I will protect her with my very life Mr. President. I'm not really sure if she have feelings for me but I love her so I won't let anything happen to her again. This will be the last time, I promise."

"What do you mean you wasn't sure with how she feels about you?"

"She still wants to get rid of me as her BG."

"So?"

"That means she wants me out of her life."

He facepalmed himself. "I don't know that you're somewhat dumb. My poor princess."

"But anyways, there's one more reason that's why I wanted to talk to you privately. I know for the fact that by this time, you already know that our enemy wasn't just an ordinary enemy. They are very aggressive and violent and the past that I have with them is greatly connected to you."

"That's what I've thought Mr. President. I'm planning to actually talk to you about it. What do you mean it's connected to me. Who are they?"

"It started way back years ago. We caught a big time Drug Lord. He was a big man, I tell you. He almost own all the secret drug lab in the entire region. We did everything to infiltrate and the main agent that made it possible for us to get them is your dad."

"My dad but how? He's your PBG?"

"He was a secret agent prior to being my body guard. He pretented to be a member of them and worked with us and that somewhat helped him to gain the trust of the enemy. He gain a lot of information about them but unfortunately he fell in love with the drug lord's daughter."

Okay whatever Mr. President is telling me right now, I don't like where it's going. He stopped for a while and then continued. "He fell in love and they had a child." Shit,this what I'm saying. I know what he'll say next. "And you're that child, Seulgi." Oh no why me?

"But given the fact that your dad is a man of justice, he choose his country over the woman she loves and his child." Don't tell me my dad betrayed my mom.

"He convinced your mom to come with him and turn herself and have a new life but she refused. She even revealed your dad's identity so he have no choice but to take you away from her and do what we have planned. During the encounter, the drug Lord died but your mother managed to escape."

"Don't tell me that, it's my real mom who killed my dad?" Then he didn't say anything. "So the real target when appa died, isn't really you and Irene but him?"

"I'm sorry Seulgi. When your appa died, I got a message saying they got what they wanted from that time but they will be back." Okay, I can't process all the information that was given to me. My mom and dad's love story was so tragic and how on earth can someone kill the person she used to love before? What would I do if I meet her? Oh my gosh. And now she's after to all the people closest to my heart. "I will definitely do everything to stop you mom.", I swear.

Then one of the bodyguards knocked on the door.

"Mr. President, Ms. Irene is awake now and she's looking for Agent Kang."

"Really? Looking for her girlfriend and not her father?" Geez "Soon she'll leave me and will live with you."

You know sometimes I don't really see him as the President. I felt like he have this split personality like his wife. Haha anyways I got to focus on Irene for now.
