Chapter 9: The Gift.

I cant believe I'm freaking writing this!!! Okay i put this story down like a year and a half ago but i just read it again and I'm going to update! And i think you will like it better now that i have better grammar lol .

**Emily's POV**

Knock, Knock, Knock!

I was sitting on my bed playing with some random object i found.

"Come in." I spoke, not feeling the need to yell.

From behind the door Niall popped in his head. Once he realized he could come in all the way (obviously wanting to give me the right to having my own privacy) He walked in and closed the door behind him.

"I have umm a sorta gift for you." He stated awkwardly as he held a green box with a yellow bow on it. I take it from him and slowly open the box unsure of what it could be. It's an IPod! And guess what? Its green! How did he find out my favourite colour is green? "Consider it a birthday gift."

"Wow, umm thanks i guess. How did you know what my favourite colour was?" This boy is seriously creepy.

"When we were getting your stuff from your old flat I noticed that everything was green and took a lucky guess." He said kind of smug. Wait a minute, I feel really dumb now. I just noticed he has an Irish accent. Wow, good observation skills Em. Niall just let out a low chuckle.

"What was that for? You chuckled." I started rather confused.

"Your thoughts are very amusing to me" Ugh, why do vampires have stupid abilities?? "We have abilities because it was a gift to our kind from our creator."

"Oh.. I guess you learn something new everyday. Anyways, can you like not read my mind? I'd like to have at least thw freedom to think."

"Yeah, Im sorry about that. I promise that from now on I will never listen to whatever might be going through that little mind of yours." I feel like that was too easy.

"Thank you Niall."

"No problem, I'll just be leaving now"

"Hey, do you know where I can find Louis?"

"Im not sure.. check his room, its to your right from the bathroom down the hall. Last door on your left." Wow that was a lot of instructions. It can't be too hard.. can it?

"Thanks Niall." He just winked and nodded his head before walking out towards the stairs.

Now to find Louis' room. Okay so there is the bathroom. Did Niall say left or right? Why must they live in a freaking castle? I really dont want the occurance with Zayn and his room to happen again. I look in both directions. I remember Niall saying left. I guess it was down the left hallway. I turn down the hallwayd and there are 3 doors on the left and 2 on the right. I yet again, took another guess and turned to my left as i walked three doors down. (OMG SEE WHAT I DID THERE? three doors down is my fav band lol) I causiously knocked on the door twice and waited patiently for an answer. Nothing. I peaked the door open the slightest bit to see and of coarse, there is nothing but shelves and books, shelves and books. BORING! Its like they have their own library. Anyways, I need to find Louis. They should really consider lableing the doors in this stupid place.

Maybe it was right. I waslked out of the hallway and back down the next one. I looked to the left and knocked. In less than a second the door was wide open but louis is sitting on his bed with his cell phone being his item of consentration.

"How did you open the door? unless your super speed or whatever is really that fast."

"No, I wish my speed was that fast but sadly, Im the slowest of the bunch.. I used my ability." He stated as if I was the dumbest person alive.

"Sorry.. my bad! Yours is tellekisis or something like that right?" He lets out a small chuckle like I had told a joke. "What?" Doesnt he know its rude to laugh at people like that?

"Its telekines." He continued to laugh. I dont get it. All I did was say a word wrong. "Sorry I'm laugjing so hard but when you live like this, everything is always so serious and quiet so Ive learned to find the stupidest things funny."

"Oh.. well thats one way to look at it. Anyways.. Im bored and I just though we could like hang out or talk." I sound so clingy! Ugh.. and this is how the rest of my life is going to be like. Better get used to it now. And noye to self: stop having conversations with self in your head. It makes you look wierd because you zone out. I looked over at Louis and I saw his mouth moving but I didnt hear anything. "What? Sorry I zoned out."

"Oh, I said sure whats up Em or Emily. Is it alright if I call you Em?"

"Yeah, sure call me whatever." I think I say whatever too much .-.

"Okay. So umm whats up Em?" He asked yet again.

"Nothing much." This is going to be a very awkward conversation...

**Sorry its short but its getting late and im just getting to updating but Im going to be writing way longer chapters from now on.. im older and I know i can do better.

P.S. sorry if some of it has bad spelling/grammar i typed half of it on my phone and it doesnt have auto-correct. **
