"Wake up!" someone yelled before I felt a blast of cold air hit me.
I jumped out of bed immediately, "Ahhh What the fuck!?"
I glared at Jayden who was holding my blanket in his hand with a smirk on his face. I'm really hating smirks right now.
I opened my mouth to talk but was interrupted by Jayden, "Get dressed. Class starts in 15 minutes." he told me dropping my blanket on the floor. I groaned, picking it up and placing it on my bed.
"Your uniform is in your dresser." he told me walking into the bathroom.
"Um okay." i said confused. Class? We have classes here, like school? Aww man I don't want to go to school or class whatever. I guess I better change.
I grabbed my uniform from the dresser. I had pants, skirt, and shorts to choose from. Then there was only one type of shirt which was collared and I could wear a vest or sweater over that.
Since it had just transitioned into fall from summer it was kind of warm with a slight breeze. So I decided to wear the shorts with just the shirt.
I looked in the mirror admiring the emblem on the shirt it had the symbol of the four elements.
The red triangle pointing up; Fire. The blue triangle pointing down; Water. The gray triangle pointing up with a horizontal line through the center of the triangle; Air. The green triangle pointing down with a horizontal line through it; Earth.
I knew these symbols, I had learned them from a book I read. I was always fascinated by the elements. My thoughts were interrupted by the bathroom door opening. Jayden caught me tracing the symbols on my shirt.
"Don't get too comfortable with that emblem. They usually change it once they find out your powers." Jayden informed me. I looked down at his emblem to see his was identical to me. He shrugged with a smirk, "They never found mine the whole four years I've been here."
"Oh."
"Yeah well hurry up we only have about 5 minutes before we're late."
"What!?" I asked wide-eyed. I rushed in the bathroom and brushed my hair and teeth. I rushed out and Jayden passed me a messenger bag.
"Come on!" He rushed out the door with me in tow he waited for me to get out of the room before closing the door and locking it. "We haven't gotten your key ready so you'll just have to wait for me to open it later on." he told me before walking off.
I struggled to catch up to him. We went down halls, I swear I would get lost in, until we stopped at a large door. He opened it slightly and led me in.
"Ahh Jayden. So glad you could join us." A tall and skinny man said from the front of the room. He looked as young as any of us, but I could teel he has lived longer than any person in this room.
"Sorry sir. I just had to ready Starlet this morning." He explained.
"Ah right Starlet. The new installment to our wonderful family." The man said with a kind smile which I returned.
"Well please have a seat so we may continue with our lesson."
"Yes sir." Jayden said as he went to an empty seat to his left. I followed behind him to the last seat in the room right next to him.
"Well then class as I was explaining. You all will be out on field practicing your powers under my supervision later on in the week, assuming of course you all pass the test." He finished saying as a few groans erupted in the room.
"I know I know very exciting for us all, but it must be done. Starlet! I know you are new to all this, but if I may ask do you know anything in particular about the elements earth, air, water, and fire?" He asked me.
