Yonna Woods works for Essence magazine interviewing two handsome athletes ...one a NFL rookie and the other a professional boxer until they both start catching feelings for her..How will this all play out in the end for Yonna?
As Yonna and Terrence walked in Central Park, they found a bench to sit seeing the view of the city. "So Mr. Jones, ready for your interview?"
"Yes I'm ready ask away" Yonna gets her phone and starts recording "Terrence Jones.. the number one draft pick in the NFL this year how does that sound to you?"
"Well Yonna it is a blessing that I was the first draft pick for the Giants.. I was so excited when I got that call and my family was there which made me feel all support over the years was there for me" "And you are playing quarterback for the Giants am I correct?" "Yes I'm playing quarterback.. I've been playing football since I was five years old with my older brother Daniel and it just came naturally just to throw around a football and my dad told me son you got an arm on you maybe it will get you in the NFL one day.. let's just say he spoke it into existence"
"Hopefully we will see the Giants go to the super bowl this year?" "Thats is our main goal to make it to the top" "Also I might add you just graduated from college and received an offer from the NFL shortly after graduation "Yes it was the best graduation present personally for myself" "That's all you know is football?" "Yes I do..been playing it since middle,high school and college can't get enough of it" "You have recently graduated from which college?" "I have recently graduated from Louisiana State" "Okay to some basic questions everyone wants to know if that's okay with you" "Okay it's cool" "Where are you originally from?" "I'm actually from Atlanta" "Your age?" "I just turned 23 last week" "Well happy belated birthday to you.." "Thank you" "Any other things you like to do besides play football?" "Believe it or not I love singing.. when I sing it just relaxes me I just grab my guitar and go for it and chillin with my family"
"So you be singing like that?" "Yea I have recorded a few songs on the studio back in Atlanta before I went to college" "So what are your plans for the future in the NFL?" "Well I haven't had the time to think about the future yet because I've been so busy with practices getting ready for the season but right now football is life right now and just be the best quarterback I can be" "So I'm going to ask it anyway, do you have someone special in your life right now?" "Besides my mom, right now I do not.. I'm single willing to date if the right person comes along"
Terrence smiles at Yonna and she blushes a little. "So I believe that wraps up our interview thank you for taking your time out of your busy schedule to talk to me" "No problem Yonna" She stops the recording and saves it on her phone. "So Yonna off the record I would like to know about you" "Okay Terrence what do you want to know?" "Are you from here?" "Yes I've lived in New York all my life" "How old are you?" "I'm 28" "Are you in a relationship?" "Very bold with these questions..straight to the point.. well I had a bad breakup three months ago my ex cheated on me and has a baby on the way" "Wow that is a bad breakup.. how could a man cheat on someone so beautiful as you?" "Maybe I'm not meant to have someone right now.. my job is my relationship right now you know" "I feel you on that"
Terrence gets a phone call and Yonna watches him talking on the phone trying not to admire him but couldn't keep her eyes off him "He is definitely flirting with me..I'm suppose to be working ugh but it is a nice view from here.. come on Yonna get it together"she thought

Before she can turn away, Terrence was on the phone and they locked eyes and both smiled at each other. Yonna turned away pretending she was looking on her phone "Smooth, Yonna..smooth"
Terrence ends his call and walks back to Yonna"Well I have to cut our conversation short I have to meet with my coach If you have anymore questions for me you have my number and I have yours..it was nice talking to you Yonna" "You too Terrence" He grabs her hand and kisses the back of her hand and smiles at him "Maybe I'll talk to you soon" "Sure Terrence talk to you soon" As he walks off, Yonna's heart is racing "He was definitely flirting with me"
Yonna heads to her car heading to work to type up the interview and finishes her day at work. As she was packing her bag about to leave work, Jasmine calls her 🌺 Yonna: Yes Jaz" 🦊 Jaz: Girl I wanted to call you and see how your interview went with that fine piece of man Mr. Jones. 🌺 Yonna: It was good..we met in Central Park and he answered my questions and that was it 🦊 Jaz: Right that's not it I know you did he flirt with you? 🌺Yonna: Yea he did but he's too young for me 🦊 Jaz: Like how old we talkin? 🌺Yonna He's 23 I thought you knew that 🦊 Jaz: I did..five years younger so what..Aaliyah says it best..age ain't nothing but a number" 🌺Yonna: He's nice to look at and a humble person when I was talking to him but I'm not ready to date yet" 🦊Jaz So you're saying he's single?" 🌺Yonna: He's open to date 🦊Jaz: So he flirted with you and tells you he would date.. what else's is there to say Yonna 🌺Yonna: Nothing because it's not gonna happen right now Jaz 🦊Jaz: Okay whatever you say well you have Adonis you can drool over when you have an interview with his fine self too 🌺Yonna: I know that he is dating someone named Bianca so that is out the window 🦊Jaz: Hey they are just dating they are not married..probably one look at you and he'll be hooked 🌺Yonna: I don't steal someone's man unlike you that time when you hooked up with Ray knowing he had a girl 🦊Jaz: Hey I didn't know he had a girl until I saw it on Instagram with an engagement ring on her finger and I kicked his ass to the curb 🌺Yonna: Yea you did the right thing but Jaz I just want to focus on work right now I just got promoted and I'll be seeing Terrence again because he's coming in for a photo shoot for the cover and Adonis too 🦊Jaz: Oh I wanna see some chest on this issue..I'll lick the damn magazine!! 🌺Yonna: Thats too much girl..
