At Peace

It's been six months since Yonna was attacked by Terrence ending up killing him and the detectives ruled out that Yonna and Adonis used self defense and no charges were filed against them.

Yonna found after being attacked through a detective in Atlanta that Terrence had mental issues since he was twelve years old when he tried to kill his brother when he was asleep trying to suffocate him. He was going to therapy and also a mental hospital a couple of times and was cleared.

He almost killed one of his ex girlfriends by poisoning her because she cheated on him and wanted to seek revenge. It explained a lot to Yonna who Terrence really was and he was mentally ill with a mind of a killer.

Yonna had to go to a psychologist to talk about that night being raped and killing Terrence. Yonna felt better mentally and had the strength to move on and to get professional help. Adonis supported her through her tough times and he was glad she took the step to get help.

As she was getting breakfast ready for her and Donnie, he wraps his arms around Yonna holding her waist
"Breakfast ready yet I'm starving"
"Yes greedy"
"How are you this morning?"
"Good baby"

He kisses her cheek as she turns around and kisses him "I gonna burn the bacon if you keep kissing me like that"
"Let it burn baby"
"No.. I want some bacon to go with my waffles and eggs"
"Fine..we still have orange juice?"
"Yea"

He lets go of his grip and opens the refrigerator to grab the orange juice and pour two cups for them as Yonna places the plates on the island as they sit to eat "Can I ask you something?" "Yea what's up?"
"I know a lot has been going on for months now and I wanna know how are you feeling after Terrence being gone, going to therapy and be honest with me"

"It was traumatizing when it happened to witnessing a murder in front of me from saving my own life from a psychopath, it was hard at first. You know I couldn't sleep right for a couple of weeks after it..replaying in my mind over and over again. Going to therapy helped me open my feelings and also with you being there with me helped a lot. How I'm feeling now, I'm at peace.."

Adonis nods"Yonna you have been through so much and I'm glad that you are free from it.. you are a fighter and you came out on top at the end baby"
"I feel so much better Donnie; it's all about moving on and planning our wedding"
"I can't wait to be married to you"
"Me either"

Yonna pecks Adonis's lips and finishes their breakfast and get dressed to head out to the gym to meet Rocky.

Yonna has gone with Adonis when he went for training channeling her anger with boxing and she loves it now. Her therapist recommended boxing to her to let go of the anger and the frustrations.

Adonis and Rocky has been training her and Yonna was getting better at boxing. She loved being with Donnie training with him and spending time together.

As they finished training for the day, Yonna takes off her boxing gloves and Rocky tells Yonna "Hey girly you are doing good in the ring I'm proud of you"
"Thanks Unc"
"So when are you gonna challenge Donnie for a fight?"
"I don't think he can handle me"

Rocky chuckles at Yonna and Adonis comes out of the locker room "What's so funny?"
"Oh Unc said we should have a match together "
"Nah I can't do that"
"Scared Creed?"
"No I just don't wanna be too rough once I get in my zone"
"I can handle it"
"Yonna baby I don't wanna hurt you"
"One day"
"Maybe"

They both head out to the car and drive to Jasmine and Viktor's home. Jasmine has been married for four months now and moved in a mansion with Viktor outside of New York City.

As they make it in the house, Jaz is excited to see Yonna "Yoyo!"
"Hey you seem really excited"
"I missed you.. hey Donnie.. Viktor is in the game room..come in"

Yonna walks to the living room as Adonis heads to the game room with Viktor. As she sits down, Jasmine looks at Yonna keeping a smile on her face
"What's up Jaz you are happy as hell today Viktor was hitting it before we got here?"
"Uh no but I have to tell you something.."
"Okay I'm listening"
"I just found out I'm pregnant"
"What! congrats girl"
"Yea I just took the test.. Vik doesn't know yet and I was going to surprise him"
"Aww I'm gonna be an auntie"
"I'm surprised you're not pregnant yet"
"Well me and Donnie were gonna wait til after we were married to have children"
"So when are you gonna get married and join the club?"
"Well going to therapy and everything else these past few months, me and Donnie hasn't discussed it not too much.. he wants me to do it on my time when I feel comfortable with no pressure to announce our engagement"
"See that's a man who knows when not to push your buttons"
"He gives me the space I needed since the attack.. plus I've been taking up boxing to control my anger"

"That's good Yonna..do you feel ready to marry Donnie?"
"Yes I do.. he's meant for me it's like we have known each other forever and he loves me for me and he has been patient all this time..maybe later when we get home, we should talk and start planning our wedding"
"Aww I cant wait"
"Me either I'll talk to him tonight but right now I'm still getting over you being pregnant. It's gonna be a beautiful baby..got those Romanian, German,Samoan genes..I call it now it's a boy"
"It doesn't matter to me as long as the baby is healthy"
"I don't know how many kids I want with Donnie I guess as many as I can"
"Uh huh.. as much as you be sexing you can have a football team"
"Whatever maybe one or two..a boy and girl whatever God gives us"

"I can't wait to be a mom to this little baby"
Jasmine rubs her belly as Yonna places her hand right beside Jasmine as Viktor and Adonis walk in the living room
"Jaz baby what's going on?"
"Um baby I have to tell you something"
"What's wrong are you okay?"
"I'm fine..you're gonna be a daddy"
"You serious?"
"Yea I just took the test"

Viktor walks to her and hugs her "I'm gonna be a dad"
Yonna gets up from the couch and grabs Adonis's hand "Jaz, Vik congrats on the baby..me and Donnie are about to go cuz we don't wanna witness a live porno"

"Yoyo.. you know me too damn well..actually I was going to do that so I call you later" and she looks up at Viktor biting his bottom lip seducing her with his eyes and turns to Yonna
"Make that tomorrow"
Yonna and Donnie walk out the door "Love y'all bye!"

As they head back in the car, Yonna laughs and Adonis looks at her "What's so funny"
"My crazy best friend she is so happy and having a baby now she has come a long way"
"I'm happy for them"
"Donnie..I was thinking maybe we should start planning our wedding"
"Okay we can do that but we have to announce it"
"I'm fine with that..seeing Jaz today made me happy and lrealize I could've lost my life and life can be short..I'm ready to be your wife and start a family with you.. Adonis Creed you have been patient with me through all of this and stood right beside me and I love you so much for that"
"I love you too baby so you are telling me you're ready?"
"Yes I'm ready Donnie"

Adonis takes a turn off towards the Brooklyn Bridge Park where he park and gets out of the car letting Yonna out.
"Donnie why are we here?"
"I want to do a live video when we announce our engagement"
Adonis goes on his Instagram as they walk and starts the live video
"Hey everyone.. me and Yonna want to make an announcement.. we are getting married!"
Yonna shows her ring and kisses Adonis "I love you Donnie"
"I love you too Yoyo"
"Hey!" As she pushes his shoulder playfully "Now everyone knows my nickname now Donnie!"
"Hey they cool with it look at the comments they love it" Adonis chuckles at Yonna
"Oh.. thanks everyone I'm so happy right now I'm marrying this man I love him so much"
"There you have it we are getting married..it's official now"

Adonis ends the live video and uploads it to his page tagging Yonna also taking pictures. Adonis's Instagram was blowing up with likes and congratulations comments. Yonna grabs Adonis waist and holds him watching the boats go by with the city view in front of them and he kisses her forehead "I can marry you tomorrow I'm so happy right now"
"Could we pull it off Donnie?"
"I don't know justice of the peace can do that and we can have a big wedding later"
"Yea that sounds like a plan and it will give me time to be glamorous for you."
Adonis smiles "You are already glamorous now"
"I mean in a wedding dress all dolled up"
"Oh I know you'll be more beautiful"
"Baby you making me blush"
"I know..lets do it."
Adonis kisses Yonna passionately as the sun sets and they head back home getting rest for their wedding tomorrow.
