Yonna Woods works for Essence magazine interviewing two handsome athletes ...one a NFL rookie and the other a professional boxer until they both start catching feelings for her..How will this all play out in the end for Yonna?
~One Year Later~ Yonna and Adonis are living in Los Angeles, California. Adonis is still boxing and Yonna is the creative director for Essence magazine in the Los Angeles office. They are planning their big wedding that is suppose to happen next month. Yonna worked tiredness hours getting ready for her big day. She has already has bought her dress and all the guests were confirmed.
Adonis is now the heavyweight champion and will be fighting in six months to defend his belt. As she sits in the office planning for her meeting, she gets a call from Adonis "Hey baby you busy?" "Kinda getting ready for a meeting what's up?" "I wanna take you out tonight to dinner" "Okay sounds good I get off as I finish this meeting okay give me til five" "Okay I'll talk to you later" "I Love you D" "Love you too Yonna" She hangs up the phone and finishes her workday.
She heads home and Adonis is waiting for her on the couch watching tv. "How was work?"as she sits next to Adonis taking her shoes off. "Good..I am starving" "You always hungry Yonna" "And?.. I love me sum food!" "Get dressed we about to go out"
Yonna heads in the bedroom and changes for her dinner date with Adonis. Yonna comes out of her closet as Adonis gets ready.

"Ready to go?" "I'm ready" As they head to Adonis's car, they drive out of their two car garage and head to dinner. As they sit down, Adonis holds Yonna's hand " I know we have been busy lately, I just wanna spend time with you tonight" "I know we are planning our wedding and work is hectic.. I needed this" "Order anything you want baby" "Ooh you know it"
As they place their order, she feels nauseous and excuses herself to the bathroom. She throws up and washes her mouth out with water. She makes her way back to the table and Adonis asks her "You okay?" "Yea I'm fine"
They eat and go back home as she undressed into her black shorts and tank top as Adonis wears his loose shorts and gets in the bed. "Yonna can I ask you something?" "Yea what is it Donnie?" "Do you think we can try again for another baby?" "I don't think I'm ready yet Donnie"
~Seven Months Ago~ Yonna was five months pregnant. She woke up one day blood was everywhere on the bedsheets and she started cramping that she couldn't bear the pain. She tried to call Adonis but he didn't pick up. She called Rocky and she told him what was happening.
Yonna called the ambulance and Adonis met her there and found out she miscarried. They gave her an emergency c-section to take the baby out. Afterwards, she wanted to see the baby one last time. It was a girl and she held her in a small blanket as she cried and Adonis couldn't bear to see his daughter as he went against the wall and cried.
"Simone Creed..mommy and daddy loves you very much and we will miss you my princess" She touched her very small hand as the nurses gave her time to hold her.
~Present~ "Donnie, since we lost Simone seven months ago.. I don't know if I'll be ready to carry a child again" "Yonna you can carry a child.. sometimes things happen baby" "Donnie you don't understand! Simone should be keeping us up at night with her little cries to putting her in cute clothes to match me.. I've been picking up extra work just so I won't be here by myself when you go training" "Yonna you have to grieve.. I have I miss my daughter too.. I should be holding her, telling her how much I love her and being a daddy's girl..we have to move on and I know it still hurts Yonna" "What if I can't let go?" "You will Yonna"
Adonis grabs her arm gently and pulls her in for a hug as she finally breaks down and cries. "I miss Simone Donnie..before we lost her, I felt her kick for the first time and the next day she was gone" Adonis tears flowed heavy "I miss Simone too but we can try when you're ready." "Okay Donnie"
Yonna holds Adonis tighter around his waist as they lay down together grieving over their lost daughter as they drifted off to sleep.
The next day, Yonna and Adonis heads to therapy and gets advice from their therapist. The best thing was to tell them to write letters in a journal how they miss Simone or visit her gravesite and talk to her. "Grieving is hard for anyone especially losing a child at a short time..Yonna and Adonis, I believe that you will move on but I know Simone will always be your heart and that's okay but as a couple encourage each other and moving on can be easier and try for another child down the road" "Thank you Dr. Williams" "You're welcome Yonna.. if you need anything else, give me a call and set a appointment"
They walk out in the hallway when Yonna felt sick again. She goes in the bathroom and rinses her mouth and comes out the bathroom. Adonis looked at her "Somethings wrong Yonna" "Why you say that?" "You have been running to the bathroom and I just heard you throwing up" "It must be the flu going around" "I haven't seen you run so fast since.. shit are you pregnant?" "I don't know Donnie I haven't been keeping nothing down lately..oh my god! I think I am.. remember that night when we came home from you winning the belt two months ago and you were horny as hell and next thing you know we were having sex on the couch, kitchen counter and sink, to the bedroom floor and I think the bathroom sink too?" "Yea that was a wild night had me knocked the hell out afterwards" "That was the first time after Simone passed we had sex and I wasn't taking my birth control" "One way to find out.. get a test" "Yea we can stop on the way home"
Yonna runs to the bathroom downstairs in her home and pees on the stick. Adonis comes in waiting for the results. "Donnie seriously you couldn't wait til I was done pissing?" "No I'm excited right now"
Yonna places the clear blue test on the sink and places the cap back on as she finishes using the bathroom washing her hands. She times the test for three minutes and Adonis sits on the floor as Yonna sat down beside him and held her hand. "This is our second chance baby" "I want to be a mother Donnie.. I will always love Simone, but moving on is best and this might be it"
The timer went off Yonna's phone and they both stand up holding each other's hands "Yonna..what does it say baby?"
