TLK: The return of Kopa (W.I.P)

Chapter 1: The Jungle pride

Kopa felt sharp teeth tug at his ear.
"Daddy, Wake up! I want to go see Rey today!" His daughter said in his ear.
Kopa yawned and shook his mane. He looked down at his daughter, "I just wanted a decent sleep for once, Shakita."
Shakita looked up to her father, A pleading look in her Amber eyes.
"Just take her, I need to sleep." Kopa's mate said with a small growl.
" Okay, " Kopa sighed.
He walked out of the cave and looked around the looming green vines and giant Jungle trees.
Rey better be quick, I really need to rest. Kopa thought.
"Kopa!" A voice called from a large hole in the tree.
A large, brown lion with a thick black mane and markings under his eyes, walked out from the hole in the tree.
"Rey!" Shakita leaped off toward the pride leader.
Rey smiled down at the small, russet lioness, "Now what is my little furball doing near my den?" he asked, an amused time to his voice.
" she wanted to see you. " Kopa said.
"You wanted to see me?! Well I've never heard that in a thousand years!" Rey replied.
Shakita jumped up and down, "Daddy tells me stories of when he was a cub! He was so brave, even braver than the bravest lion!" Pride shone in the little cubs eyes, " He's the best daddy in the world! "
Kopa suddenly felt his old memories flooding back to him. His father. His mother. Vitani. Kiara. His family. His home. And Zira. The one who ruined his life, almost killed him and mentally scarred him for life.
"Kopa?Kopa!" Rey yelled in his ear.
" w-wa- Sorry, I was just thinking. " Kopa replied.
Suddenly something big pushed him by the shoulders. Kopa twisted under the weight and tried to kick the opponent off, but it was too late.
"Haha, got ya again Kopa!" A Golden lion with a dark brown mane, shouted.
" get off Muli! " Kopa growled suddenly feeling his strength come back and shoving Muli to the ground.
"Leave him alone, Muli!" An amused voice came from behind Kopa.
He looked up to see his mate, Lakshi, standing over him.
"Heh. Sorry Lakshi." Kopa said, embarrassed.
Lakshi licked his forehead and purred. Kopa did the same and wrapped his rail around hers.
"Love birds!" Muli laughed.
Shakita joined in.
They split apart from each other.
"See you tonight." Kopa said, resting his tail on her shoulder.
Lakshi nodded and walked off.
Kopa looked down at Shakita, "Lets go hunt." He said.
