"Is this really where the sky meets the ground?" I ponder aloud as I take in the breathtaking horizon, where the soft blue sky seems to kiss the earthy browns and greens of the landscape below. My gaze falls upon a solitary boy sitting on the dusty ground, his small frame hunched over, his face buried deep between his knees. The afternoon light casts a golden glow around him, but he remains oblivious to my presence.

With a gentle thud, I dismount my horse and approach him cautiously, feeling curious and concerned. I settle down beside him, the sun's warmth contrasting the earth's coolness beneath us. Though I hope for some acknowledgment, he doesn't react; his silence hangs in the air, heavy and poignant, as I wonder what thoughts might be swirling in his mind.

"Is something the matter?" I ask softly. He finally turns to meet my gaze. His eyes glisten with unshed tears, and his nose is tinged red as if he has been holding back the emotion for far too long. "Why are you crying, beautiful?" My voice is laced with concern, stirring a protective instinct within me. A surge of anger floods my heart at the thought of anyone causing him pain.

He shakes his head, the simple gesture filled with a weight of sadness. "Then..." I start, but he seems lost in thought, staring out at the vast expanse of the ocean. The waves crash rhythmically against the shore, but his mind is elsewhere. "I think I hurt him..." His voice trails off, and I can see the turmoil etched on his face.

My curiosity piques, and I lean in closer, sensing the heaviness of his confession. "Him?" I ask, needing clarification. He nods slowly, his expression a mix of regret and sorrow as if the realization is too much to bear.

"How can someone like you ever hurt anyone?" I ask, genuinely curious. He lets out a soft chuckle, which seems to mask deeper emotions. "But I did hurt him when I left. I saw how his eyes filled with tears, breaking my heart."

I lean in closer, hoping for more clarity. "Can you be more specific? Who exactly is 'him'?" His gaze drifts toward the ground momentarily as if gathering the weight of his thoughts. "Kook, my friend... He's an omega, but he's dealing with a lot. He lost his memory, and when he finally discovered who he was, the shock and terror in his eyes were palpable." He pauses, his voice trembling slightly.

"Why was he terrified?" I ask, a small smile forming, curious about the unfolding story. "When I revealed to him that he was a carrier, he completely freaked out," he says, a hint of amusement creeping back into his expression. I can't help but think about Jungkook, who was always anxious about carrying a child.

"Why are you smiling like that?" he asks with a puzzled look, the moment suddenly feeling heavier. "I was just thinking about someone else who also hated the thought of being a carrier," I respond, feeling a twist of emotion in my chest.

"Oh," he murmurs, and a heavy silence descends. Finally, he breaks it. "I kissed him and then just... left," he admits, his head hanging low, shame washing over his features.

"Why did you do that?" The question escapes my lips before I can stop it. He shakes his head, frustration etched on his face. "I-I don't know. I wasn't supposed to get that close to him. It just happened... I guess I got caught up in the moment," he says, his lower lip protruding in a pout that makes him look vulnerable.

A part of me aches to bridge the chasm between us, to reach across and strip away the turmoil etched on his face as if I could somehow dissolve the heavy weight of his regret. The air feels thick with unspoken words, and I can sense the tension pulling at us.

"And what are you going to do now?" I ask, his shoulders slumping in a gesture of resignation.

"I don't know... I think he might hate me now," he replies, sadness threading through his voice, dragging it down like a stone sinking into the water.
