0.06 a warm visit

Mike got home, safely and slept after. He woke up from his daily alarm, his mother waking him up. Summer's over, time to get to normal school schedule, he thought.

"morning Mike" Nancy greeted him. Everyone was looking at him, serious.

"where were you last night?" his dad asked. He just sat on his chair and ate his breakfast.

"Mike?" his mom looked at him worried. Mike looks at the whole room and sighed.

"I went to a friends house" he said calmly. Even though he wasn't that calm.

"who's? El?" Nancy said, looking at him. Mike stormed off to his room quickly after that. Nancy felt guilty and ran upstairs. She opened his door quietly to see his brother getting ready to go to school.

"you're going to school?" Nancy sat beside him.

"El's house? Seriously?" Mike said sarcastically. Nancy looks at his little brother, and he sat down beside her.

"I didn't go there to see her, I went to see Will. But suddenly she came home and she was... Beautiful" Nancy smiled at his confused brother.

"you're not over her?" she asked politely. Mike was looking at the floor silently.

"I'm going to school, see you" he grabbed his bag and kisses her sisters cheek. He ran down the stairs and left. He walked in with his messy hair towards his friends.

"MIKE!" Lucas greeted him loudly.

"where were you? you were missing out" Max said and hugged him. He just smiled and sat down. His friends looked at each other and looked at Mike again.

"Mike, is it Will? or" she said softly to calm her down. Mike turned to her and sighed.

"I don't know, I can't get over El or Will" he said being lost as ever. Lucas smiled at him, he had a "smart" Idea.

"hey, what about after school we visit Will?" Mike chuckled and nodded. They were happy seeing their best friend smile in a long time.

"now, where's my locker, Maxine?" Max looked at him in shock. She can't believe he said that.

"okay MICHAEL, this way" Max showed him to his locker which is right beside hers. He puts his books and bag in it and sighed.

"school huh?" Max rests her head on the locker. Mike nodded.

"I'm still worried" Mike said while walking with Max to their next class.

"about yourself?" Max sat down and so did he. They talked through the whole class. Mike didn't knew Max was a good listener.

School was over. Kids were running around, playing, kissing even.

"hey, having fun with my girlfriend?" Lucas wrapped his arms around Max and kissed her cheek. Mike just giggled and walked with them.

"we're still going, right?" Dustin bursts in on the moment. Mike looked at his friends.

"where are we still going?" he walked with his friends to go outside.

"Will's of course" Lucas stopped to look at him. Mike froze.

"Will's? Why?" he looked at his friends confused. They smiled.

"don't be nervous, plus you didn't hurt his feelings right?" Max tried to calm him down. He sighed and rolled his eyes.

"yes, and fine we'll go" he walked away with his friends.

"no one said we weren't" Dustin said in enthusiasm. They walked to Mike's house and grabbed some things. Snacks, jacket, and sorts of stuff.

"are you guys sure this is a great idea?" Mike sat down and looked at his friends standing around.

"are you nervous about Will or about El, huh?" Lucas crossed his arms and looked at him. Mike sighed and covers his face with his hands.

"both I guess" Mike said still with his hands on his face. Max rolls her eyes and grabs his arm for him to get off the comfy couch.

"well at least we didn't sneak out like you did last time" everyone looked at her. Mike sighed again and grabs his bag.

"let's go" he walked upstairs with his friends. Mike said goodbye to his mom and said he's going to Will's house with his friends in Lucas' car. She nodded and he walked with his friends to Lucas' house.

after hours of laughing, singing, dancing, talking, they finally arrived in Will's house. Max knocked first, no one answered. Lucas called out for him, still no answer. They called for El, and finally someone opens the door.

"MAX! I MISS YOU" El said hugging her "best friend". Max was shocked seeing her, she changed, completely. Everyone was silent, until Mike broke the silence.

"hi El" he says in a deep, nervous voice. El looks down, it was completely awkward.

"Mike, hi" everyone looked at them in silence until Dustin coughed and asked if they could come in. El said yes and they went in.

"wow El, you look... Different" Max said while looking at her from head to toe.

"yeah, it's my new style" El said. She didn't wear anything THAT different. She was wearing a tang top and some shorts. It's just that, no one has ever seen her showing that much skin before.

"is Will here?" Mike blasted out saying. Everyone looked at him, Mike felt really embarrassed and looked down at his feet.

"yeah, he's in his room" El said and pointed where his room is. Mike nodded and walked there. Lucas grabbed his arm and whispered.

"you're leaving us- Mike come on" Mike just shook his head and lifted his index finger, saying that he will only take one minute. Or one hour, who knows he only said one.

He opens the door slowly to see Will on his desk writing something.

"hi Will" Will flinched when he heard Mike's voice. He turned around to see Mike with his striped shirt, his black jacket, black jeans, and a little bit of his hair almost covering his eyes.

"hey Mike" he smiled and gestured for him to sit down. Mike sat down and the edge of the bed and so did Will.

"so did you sneak out like last time?" Will asked him and Mike chuckled. He shook his head and smiled.

"no, there's Lucas, Dustin, and Max outside" Will was shocked he rushed to go outside but Mike grabbed his arm.

"Will wait" Mike stood up standing just a couple inches from him.

"Mike, what are you doing?" Will being "clueless" to Mike. Mike looks at his hazel eyes, and kissed him on the lips. Will kissed back and they let go. Mike smiled and so did he.

"I'm sorry" Mike said looking at Will. Will nods and they walked out.

Lucas looked at them, knowing that they did at least something in that room that made them silent for five minutes.

"one minute you said?" Mike chuckled and everyone looks at them.

"new couple?" Max laughed and do did the others. Will and El laughed as well.

"by the way, WILL HOW ARE YOU MAN?" Dustin bursted out and suddenly everything went back like it used to be back then. Laughing and having fun together, they missed that.
