Prologue

"One day until September" the oldest stated looking at the black-haired man that was holding hands with his little daughter. "Kindergarten starts, Jinae, are you excited?" he continued making the little girl shake her head.

"What do you mean no?" the other male asked surprised. "But you love your friends there"

"Yes, but we have a new teacher this year—" Jinae whined. "I already miss teacher Lee."  she continued on the sad tone.

"It's going to be okay. You have all your friends there."  her dad gave her a small smile.

" Jimin,  we passed three stores. Where are you taking me?" The older whined like a child.

Jimin smiled at the childish behaviour of his friend as he ignored his question and kept walking. They were going to Jinae's favourite store, he thought he should buy his daughter something new.

"We're here" Jimin exclaimed looking at his little girl.  " Now, what about you show me that purple puppy you keep whining about while uncle Eunwoo goes to look at some baby clothes?" he continued and Jinae did not even need to answer as he already knew the answer when the little girl started pulling him across the store.

They stopped at the section of stuffed animals. There were big and small fluffy animals everywhere from big teddy bears to small ones. Jinae stopped in front of a stuffed purple corgi.

"Is it this one?" he asked and Jinae nodded.

"But I like the blue one too"  She complained.

"How about I buy you the purple one and when mommy gets back to the city you ask her to buy you the blue one?" Jimin whispered his plan.

"Why can't you buy both?" She complained again.

"If I buy you both what will mommy buy you?" He asked and the little girl picked a purple puppy and smiled at her dad.  "Let's go see how Eunwoo is doing," he said picking up the little girl.

They saw the older on the other side of the store looking at a white onesie. Jimin walked up to him putting his hand on the older's shoulder making him flinch.

"Don't scare me like that ever again," he said putting a hand over his heart. "You could have killed me."

"Sorry" they youngest apologised. "What is taking so long? It's a onesie."

"Yes I know but what if I buy him a blue onesie and he grows up believing gender stereotypes or what if it has superman on it and he grows up loving DC and hating Marvel? I can't raise a kid like that." Eunwoo started to panic.

"It's just a onesie" Jimin stated. "It's a onesie for your son that was not even born yet." he continued.

"Yes I know, I am freaking out okay?"

"Jungah's due date is not for another month, how about you make a list chose the perfect onesie and come back and buy it." Jimin came up with an idea still confused over Eunwoo's panic.

"Do you think I'm an idiot? I will take the— um— this— no— I will come back tomorrow." He gave up.

"Yes I do think that"  The younger laughed "Come I have to but a purple puppy"

He gave the cashier the puppy as he let Jinae down to get his wallet out of his pocket.

"That would be $25," She said as Jimin gave her the money. "Thank you for buying."

Jimin gave Jinae the puppy and he could swear that he had never seen her that happy before. They walked out of the store but when they were about to exit the shopping centre he saw someone familiar, and that someone saw him.
