"B this is getting silly," Veronica sighed whilst rolling her eyes.
Betty glanced up from her bag of crisps, that she was happily munching on "What is?"
"How happy you're acting! And you won't tell any of us what is going on."
"I really don't know your talking about"
Veronica rolled her eyes "No don't start with this again, you know exactly what I am talking about"
There was a brief moment of silence.
Veronica's eyes widened and she gasped "Oh my God is it Trev? Did you go on another date and not tell me? Are you guys a thing now?"
"No were not a thing, Veronica" Betty sighed.
"Then what is the reason your so happy, Miss Sunshine?"
Betty glanced up at Jughead, who sat right beside her. He gave her a stern look as if to say, "Not yet." And Betty knew what she had to say.
"It's nothing, just that me and Juggie have made improvements on the Jason Blossom case, for the Blue and Gold," she said with a smile.
Which, wasn't completely a lie but it wasn't completely the truth either .
"Really?" Archie added, "Last time I heard, the car full of evidence was set on fire." Betty shrugged
"It was but-"
"Whatever," Veronica said standing up from the bench.
"I don't believe that cover up for a second, but whatever is making you happy B, I hope it stays around for a long time."
Betty looked up at Jughead, who made eye contact with her almost immediately.
"Yeah," she said, "me too."
"Hey Betts," Jughead said sneaking up behind her. Betty turned around and grinned at her unannounced boyfriend,
"Hey Juggie!" Betty leaned in for a kiss but Jughead stepped back.
"Betts, you know we can't," he whispered. Betty huffed and looked at him,
"Why? They are our friends, what's the worst that can happen?"
"This month...has just been so eventful. I don't know how they would take it."
"Veronica wouldn't be bothered, and Archie clearly never was interested in me, and Kevin would totally be down for it," Betty crossed her arms and sighed, "It's you who seems to be against it, Juggie."
Jughead started to put his arm on her shoulder, but pulled back "No that's not what I'm saying at all-"
He was cut off by the loud bell warning the students to get to class.
"We will finish this conversation after school, ok?" Betty said and stomped off.

"I still don't understand why we can't just tell them," Betty protested to Jughead as they strolled through the school car park.
"And I still don't understand why you want them to know so bad." Jughead argued back.
"Because Jughead" Betty stopped abruptly, "I want to hold you hands in the halls, or give you a kiss or a hug before class but obviously we can't do that if no-one knows we are dating!"
"I know, I want wanna do that kind of stuff too."
"Then why you so scared?"
"I'm not scared!"
"Then kiss me!"
Next thing they knew their lips were connected through love? Passion? Anger? Lust?
They weren't really sure. Jughead's arms wrapped around Betty's waist and Betty cupped Jughead's cheeks.
"Oh my God" a familiar voice said Kevin.
The two quickly parted and looked at who was standing there. Archie, Veronica and Kevin, all with their jaws dropped to the floor. Betty studied their faces very carefully. Most of it was shock. Veronica burst into a huge smile and tackled Betty into a hug,
"I knew something was up! I'm so happy for you, B!"
Archie patted Jughead on the shoulder "Good choice."
Kevin gave them both a hug "I ship it!"
