"Babe , can you see if the caterers are ready?"
Turning to her boyfriend , Aja smiled sweetly only to be brushed off as he typed away on his phone and mumbled.
"Isn't that what you hired Yara for?"
"Jordan Bell , I'm not repeating myself."
Taking charge of the door , Aja gave Jordan a scathing look until he got up. Seven cars were pulling into the driveway so she braced herself as the main doors opened and people began to pile in. Greeting them all with a smile and hug, she took notes. Kam, Nadia , and Aziah came together with their men in tow. Leylani however pulled up by herself with Jilly. Zoë also came alone. Kevin Durant and Dejounte came in their own cars ten minutes after the arrival of their girlfriends and Lonzo bustled in a minute behind them , taking his place next to Leylani who looked nonplussed.
"So , it seems the Lakers crew is beating everyone else out when it comes to being on time."
Aja mused as she took her seat at the head of the table. Giving a conspiratorial look to Zoë and Kevin , her only fellow warriors she shrugged. Where were they and where were the Kings?
"You know this place is pretty far for them so , maybe we should wait a few more minutes."
Always a man of good faith , Josh offered the excuse and Lonzo nodded in agreement.
The way Aja had arranged the seating was purposeful and from her quick glance around , she knew the evening would be interesting. Some things she did because she couldn't help but to be petty. Zoë and Kevin sat directly in front of Nadia and Kyle, Aziah and Bryson shared the same fate , having an amazing view of Jilly and Dejounte.
