Her hands were shaking as she paced her bathroom. After the late shift last night she'd went to bed nauseous and woke up this morning feeling the same. She was saying a silent prayer as she paced up and down. This would be the sixth test she took this year and she was trying her best to stay optimistic.
"Cay'La!"
The deep voice of her fiance rumbled through the house just as her timer ran out.
"In here!"
She yelled back softly , her fingers were clasped on the pregnancy test. She didn't have the courage to look at it so when he entered the door way she passed it to him instead. He looked at her with concerned eyes before he looked down and frowned.
Negative.
Her face fell as the news settled on her and she leaned back onto the sink , crossing her arms around herself. Sullen , Willie tossed the test into the trash before rushing to her. He kissed the side of her temple affectionately as he tightened his hold on her. She tried her hardest to not cry.
"What's wrong with me?"
Sighing , Willie knelt in front of her. In the four years he'd known Cay'La she was the strongest person he'd ever known. He hated to see her beat herself up like this.
"Nothing baby , you're perfect. It's just not our time yet , okay? When it's right it will happen Cay."
He kissed her hands before he hugged her waist while she heaved out a sigh.

Will there ever be a right time? Willie and I have been trying for almost a year now and nothing. It's even stopped our wedding planning. No man wants to marry damaged goods.
I really want us to have a family , Willie is more than just my fiancé , he's my best friend , he saved my life even. I'm afraid that I'm causing all the problems in our relationship. Sometimes I'm terrified I'll lose him because of that.
Cay'La didn't speak on it , instead she patted his head and gave a weak smile until he released her. Once in their bedroom she threw herself on the bed and lost herself in her Instagram feed while Willie kept a vigil on her. He didn't know how to gage her reaction. Maybe she'd finally gone numb after being denied so many times.
"Cay, are you okay babe?"
He queried as he stood in their doorway staring back at her. It was 8:30 am , he had practice in an hour but LA traffic meant he should've already been out the door.
"I'll be fine Will , don't worry. Are you okay?"
Her voice was as tiny as she was. Glancing up from her phone she smiled at the love of her life and blew him a kiss.
"As long as you are then yeah babe I'm good."
He stepped back inside and walked over to her.
"I'm fine baby, have a good practice okay? Come back in one piece."
