Lillian's POV
It has only been a few hours since we left and we are already running. My hair is whipping in the wind and Samuel is a little behind me. I did track in 8th grade. Samuel was playing video games. "Catch up!" I yelled back at Samuel.
He sped up a little. I kept glancing behind me to see how close the watchers were. They held ropes. They couldn't kill us so they would just catch us with ropes. One of them was just grasping on to the rope and the other was swinging it around getting ready to strike at us. I saw a rock on the ground so I jumped over it.
As we have been running me and Samuel have been making our own secret hand language. A peace sign was to turn right, a rock and roll sign was to turn left, a wave means jump, and patting your head means "hurry up they are right behind you'!". So I waved to him and he looked down then, jumped high. Before one of the watchers noticed what was happening, he tripped but the other jumped. Looks like that one caught on with our language. "You won't get away." I heard one laugh.
I turned around and smirked. I called back to her," We'll see about that.".
"You little bomb!" She screamed at us getting angry.
Did she call us a bomb? But that was my name, the name I was called by every watcher and Brent and people at the 'mansion'. " RUN YOU LITTLE BOMB, RUN!" Samuel laughed.
I laughed with him but then waved again. We both jumped. If only we could run into a police station during this run. I was almost out of breath. I was so close to stopping. My running slowed down. Samuel kept yelling at me to run but I couldn't. Everything started to fade. I couldn't hear very well. "Gotcha!" I heard a voice cheer.
I turned around to see Samuel with a rope around with waist. Both of the watchers pulled him in. Samuel tried to untie it, run away, and snake his way out of the tight rope wrapped around him. "Let him go." I said to them sternly with those last few breaths.
I took a deep breath, trying to gain more air. "No, he is our bait." The man watcher chuckled.
He was bait? Bait for what? "Please." I screeched.
I started limping over to them. My back hurt and I could barely keep walking in a straight line. I felt weak and drunk. My legs hurt and I collapsed. "This is fun." I heard a voice tell another.
"Leave her alone!" Samuel screamed.
Everything was black but I could still hear. I heard something like laughing then, maybe a loud clap? But I blacked out fully afterwards. I'm sorry Samuel. If I wasn't so lazy, I might had been able to save us both.

Lilly's POV
I woke up finally. I tried to examine where I was at but it was blurry. Just like the first time I was brought to the stupid mansion. I was in a plain white room. That was all I knew. "This is what happens when you escape." A man growled.
I felt a whip on my back. I cringed. "Who are you." I cried.
I heard a laugh. "Little Bomb isn't so tough is she?" The voice said.
I shook my head. "What makes you think I was ever tough?" I replied.
"Because, usually my favorites are the toughest." The voice told me.
Brent. Brent was with me. I was back at the mansion. I looked around and saw Brent and nothing else except the red chair I was sitting in. I was wearing a tank top that didn't have much cloth covering the back. So, I could feel the burn from the whips. Another one hit my back. "But I guess I wouldn't call you my favorite anymore, look at all this I give you, why would you run away from it!" Brent screamed angrily as he kicked the wall.
"Are you kidding me!" I yelled so much angrier than ever before.
He turned to look at me. "You lock us up and rooms with nothing and it makes us crazy, you let us out for only an hour a day to feel and see the sunlight again, and you kill us." I explained to him trying to keep my cool.
"Is that how you imagine it?" He said sensitively.
I nodded. "I did this for all of you, you wanted to leave." He told me.
I was really confused. He sighed and kneeled infront of me. "Remember that day in my class a few months ago, you and Samuel were throwing paper airplanes?" He asked.
I nodded remembering that day so clearly. My mother had been yelling at me that day and I was really sad but Samuel and I had been making paper airplanes and it made me happier. He kept making jokes about how Mr. Coleman (Brent) had been flirting with our substitute teacher for science. "Oh Ms. Hayward you look mighty fine today want to come over to my evil lair and eat my pet rabbit?" Samuel had joked.
He had always made me happy. We had been having a lot of fun until I got called to the office.
Flashback
(7-18-14)
"May we see Lilly in the office please." The office said through the intercom.
Mr. Evil had replied with yes. I left the room and bumped into Sal Schweihshymor. "Eww loser." Sal exclaimed as he freaked out like I had spit on him 82 times.
I stepped back. For some reason it had really hurt me. Maybe because, my mom that morning. He then, laughed and walked away. "I wish I could run away and never come back." I had whimpered.
~End of flashback~
Brent must have heard me. "I wasn't serious." I told him.
He looked to the floor. "Well I thought you were so I set a date for you. I assumed you might need a friend so I had set a date for Megan too. The mansion needed another watcher so I thought, "Why not take Stephanie too?" even though I didn't like her I knew she would be bossy and tough." He explained to me.
"Well, now that you know I am not serious can you let me go?" I asked him nicely.
Brent looked like he was thinking about it for a moment. "I made that mistake once. " He told me.

Brent's POV
I was thinking of Sophia. I had brought her into the set date room so I could kill her and make room for Samuel. Lillian looked at me with a puzzled look on her face. "Sophia, I had let her go." I murmered.
Lillian's face brightened. "S-she is alive?" Lillian asked hopeful.
I smiled and nodded. Lillian smiled and was so happy. "I had taken her in the set date room so I could make room for your Samuel. But just as it was going to happen I just knew I couldn't do it. She was so little and precious. So, I let her go home. She promised she wouldn't tell." I explained to her.
"She is safe?" Lillian questioned.
"Yes, she didn't call the police on me." I reassured her.
Then, her smiled faded and she looked confused again. "What do you mean by 'mistake' then?" She asked me.
I sighed as pushed my hand through my hair. "I let her go and I have no idea what will happen to her and I am constantly freaking out because, she might tell." I told Lillian as I closed my eyes as I started to stress out again.
"I promise we wouldn't do that." Lillian promised me.
This is what I liked about Lillian, she could be really calm right after yelling at people and being so angry. I also hated her for it. I felt like I could trust her. "I'll think about it." I said as I untied her from the chair. "Thank you." Lillian thanked me as she ran out of the room.
