~Chapter 8~

~Travis' POV~

My face turned completely red, as my eyes widened. Stupid Drunk Travis What Did You Say. I just confessed my love to Zane while drunk! "Tr-Travis?" Zane asked staring at me. Zane frowned as he looked away from me "I-I get it.." The truth was, I did love Zane. I guess drunk Travis made it easier for me to tell him. I lifted his face and forced him too look at me. He was tearing up. I placed my forehead on his and sighed. "Zane..yes, I do love you..."

Tears rolled down his face. I kissed him, and gladly, he kissed back. We made out as he cried tears of joy. Garroth busted down the door. We both pulled away and looked at him. "I-" Garroths face turned to confusion. "Wait..were you two just kissing?" Zane pulled up his mask and wiped his tears. "Were you?" He asked again. I looked at Zane as he hesitantly nodded. Garroth walked up to Zane and crouched down. "Zane, this isn't going to be like high school is it?" Garroth said, his voice laced with slight anger. What does he mean 'Like high school'? Zane's eyes widened.

~Flash Back In Zane's POV~

(I recommend waiting at least 1 minute into the song or until you hear "Two friends, on a perfect day-" then start reading if you want it to match up sorta or you could just make it match idc ;-;.)

I walked into school feeling confident. Today was the day I'm going to tell Travis how I feel about him. I walked to my locker and set my bag inside. I took out my math textbook before getting pushed. I hit the lockers and fell to the ground. I was pushed so hard my bag fell out of my locker onto me. I groaned in pain and looked up to see Gene, Sasha and Zenix laughing at me. Gene kicked me and walked off, Sasha and Zenix following along behind him. This day already sucks, no way I'm going to be able to tell him. "Zane! Are you ok?!" I looked over and saw Travis rushing towards me. Seeing him gave me butterflies. I shoved my bag off of me as Travis helped me up. "Thanks." He shrugged "No problem bud." Travis grabbed my bag and shoved it in my locker slamming the door shut. "Come on, we gotta get to class." We started walking. "Hey Trav.." "yes?" All the confidence I had drained out of me almost instantly. "Umm c-can you meet me after school?" I asked. "Sure, where?" "Oh- umm maybe in the field by the forest." He smiled. "Nice, I heard that place has nice sunsets." "Maybe we should go near sunset then." I chuckled. "Actually we should." I nodded as we headed into class.
~Time Skip slightly near sunset~

I walked to Travis' house and knocked on the door. Terri, Travis' Dad answered. "Oh hey Zane, I'll get Travis for ya!" He slightly closed the door. Travis walked out of the house. "Hey Zane, ready to go?" I nodded as we started walking to the field. "Woah, you were right this place does look better near sunset." I said looking at the field in awe. Travis slightly chuckled at my expression. We talked for a while and joked around. "Trav guess what." "What?" "6 x 3 = 13" I chuckled as he laughed loudly. "Oh my Irene, are you ever gonna let that go? It was one mistake" I shook my head "no- it was funny!" (That's a real inside joke between friends ÙwÚ)
We sat down on a wooden bench. A while later and I was about to ask him. "H-Hey Trav-" Travis cut me off "There!" He said before taking off. He turned back to look towards me. "Come on Zane!" I smiled and ran with him. He ran up to a tree and started climbing. "Come on!" He shouted again as I followed him. We reached the top and sat on branches across from each other. He looked towards the sunset and I did the same. Is now a good time to tell him? "It's beautiful, huh?" He looked towards me. "Yeah..it is." I started shaking a little. "H-Hey Travis I-" I felt the branch I was on dip a little as I heard a Crack- My eyes widened as the branch fell. Travis reached his hand out trying to catch me. I fell on top of my arm. "Z-Zane!" I heard him yell. I slightly opened my eyes and saw him climbing back down before running towards me. "Are you ok?" He helped me up as I winced in pain. "I think I broke my arm." I said as I gripped my arm. "Come on let's get your arm checked out."

Travis walked me the hospital. They took some X-rays and in the end I got a cast. Travis made me get a white one instead of black because he wanted to sign it. He grabbed a sharpie and wrote 'Travis' in big letters across my cast. He walked me back home. "See you tomorrow Zane!" He said waving. I waved back at him...I never did get to tell him how I feel.

I rung my doorbell. "Oh My little Zuzu! What happened to you? It's late-" my mom yelled as she answered the door. I explained everything to her. "Well, I'm glad you're ok." She hugged me. I went upstairs and laid on my bed. I started crying as Garroth walked in. "Zane? How'd it go?" Garroth knew I was gonna tell Travis only because he kept bothering me about my crush. "How does it look like it went?!" I lashed at him. He jumped back a little. "That bad huh?" He sat on the edge of my bed. "I didn't even get to tell him..." I cried more. Garroth rubbed my back. "What happened?" "I-I was gonna tell him..Then he ran up to a tree and called me over. We climbed up and took in the view..it was nice. I was gonna try to tell him again, but then the branch I was on broke and I fell now I have this stupid cast." Garroth hummed in response as he got up. "Well you gonna tell him tomorrow?" I shook my head. "I don't think I will." "Why not?" "Cause, it's not like he likes me anyway!" More tears flowed down my cheeks. "Baby brother-" Garroth said as he reached his hand out to comfort me. I slapped it away. "Can't you see I'm heart broken! Just get out and leave me alone!" I screamed at Garroth. Garroths face turned sad as he slowly walked to my door. "I'll make sure you're never heart broken again.." He walked out my room and shut the door. I cried myself to sleep...

I woke up to the sun blaring in my eyes. I yawned and got up. I got dressed and went into the bathroom. I took a damp cloth and wiped my face getting some dry tears off. I walked out the bathroom and grabbed my bag. "Morning Zuzu~" my mom said as I walked into the kitchen. "Morning." I groaned back as I grabbed a granola bar. I walked to school early like usual. I sat near the entrance and read a book until the bell rung. I feel like Evan Hansen walking through the halls with this cast on. Sucks I didn't get to tell Travis.

~Flashback Over~

~Zane's POV~

"G-Garroth it's not like that-" I said. Garroth growled. "I don't want you to get hurt again Zane!" Garroth went over to Travis and forced him up. "I don't want him hurting you again Zane!" Travis tried to speak but Garroth cut him off. "You can have a love life, just not with him!" Garroth dragged Travis out the door.

"Garroth Wait!" I chased after him and grabbed Travis. "P-please! He's all I have! He makes me happy, Garroth, please!" Garroth yanked Travis back. "All you have? All you have!? What about you're family?! Aphmau?! You have them! Why do you 'need' Travis!" Garroth yelled. I started crying again as Garroth dragged Travis out of my house. I chased after them again and grabbed Travis' hand. "Garroth please h-he won't hurt me!" I cried out. Garroth pushed me back into the door. I fell and hit my head on the doorknob, falling on my hand.
"Z-Zane!" Travis yelled. Garroth picked up Travis. He struggled in Garroths grip as Garroth ran off with him. I got up and winced in pain. My arm was numb..great..
~Time Skip~
I was on my roof watching the sunset, crying with a cast on my arm. I looked down at my cast and wrote 'Travis' in big letters across it. "Th-there..just like h-highschool.." I said to myself as I cried and continued to watch the sunset...
