Chapter 64: Invitation from "Top Of The Pops"

That day, Jilliane as usual do all her house hold shores. Meanwhile Roger is reading a news paper. She cannot help herself but look at him. For a day from now, he will become busy rehearsing for the tour. She felt lonely again. She always look at him secretly while doing her house hold shores. Even he was there, she cannot help herself to feel so sad but she tried her best to hide it from her. She thought if only she could touch him and caress him, and if she could only give her love for him....but it's really impossible! Now, she can feel the barrier that separates them. Yes he is so near but yet he is so far. Her tears suddenly flow on her cheeks and she wiped it hurriedly for she doesn't want Roger to see it. And she approach Roger.

"Is there anything you would ask me to do?" She asked and smiled.

"None... Why?" Roger confusedly asked.

"Well... I just asked so that i can do it now... For I am going to supermarket..." She said.

"But we still have stocks..." Roger said.

"Yes but... I forgot to buy toilet cleaner... I am going to clean the bathroom..." She said.

"Well... You can go now...there is nothing for you to do for me..." He said.

"Then... I am going!" She said. As she is about to leave the phone rang and she answered it. "Taylor residence Good Morning!... Oh! Mr. John Reid! He is here!" She gave the phone to Roger. "It's your manager!" After saying it, Roger took the phone from her.

"Hello John...it's me..." Roger said and he became silent. "What?! For real?!... My God! It's a great news! Thanks!" Then he put down the phone.

Roger approached Jilliane in excitement. And the latter was confused.

"We made it!" Roger exclaimed to her.

"About what?" She asked.

"He told that the Executive of Top Of The Pops Steve Nash invites the band! For our single now hits the number two slot this week!" Roger said smiling.

"Oh! That is really a great news! I am hap-" she had no chance to continue what she is about to say because Roger carried her up and she was surprised. He even turn around while still carrying her up. "Roger! Put me down! Please! Put me down!" She exclaimed and the latter put him down.

"Oh! I'm sorry...I'm sorry... I'm just carried away because of excitement!" He said to her.

"You deserve this... And the band as well!" She exclaimed.

"Yeah... You're right... But none of all this things will ever be come true if not also because of you! You saved the band! Thank you!" He said to her.

"Don't thank me... I didn't do such thing...it's just...this things are happening because it is meant to be!" She said smiling.

"Oh no! But there is one problem exist!" Roger said.

"What?"

"The single has multi tracking... And we cannot play it live... Or even mime it... And besides a day from now we will be busy rehearsing for the tour. " He said.

"I have a question..." She said.

"What?" He asked

"Is it allowed on the Top Of The Pops that you will create and submit a music video of it instead of performing it live? As you said...it has multi tracking..." She asked.

"That's Brilliant! I never thought you can also use your bird head!" He exclaimed.

"What? Are you insulting me?" She said.

"No...I'm just kidding! But your suggestion is right!... I will talk to the band and John Reid regarding this... If it is possible for TOTP" he said. "Thanks again!"

"I am glad to help... By the way... I must go now!" She said.

"I'll go with you! I'll take you there...afterwards i will go to the Office". He said.

And they both went out of the house.

Roger dropped her on supermarket and he head towards the Office. While Jilliane entered the department store.

As Roger arrived at the office, he saw John Reid.

"Where's the band?" He asked.

"Any time they will be here!" He said to him.

All of a sudden, the door opened containing the three.

"Hey Rog! You're early!" Freddie said to him.

"I was just excited about the Top Of The Pops invitation... But we have a problem" he stated.

"Yeah! And that is... We do not have a time to accept their invitation because a day from now we will start our preparation for the album tour!" Deaky said.

"And not only that is the problem..." Roger said.

"And what else?" Brian asked.

"If we accept their invitation, our single has a lot of multi tracking... And we cannot perform it live and even mime it..." He said.

"Damn! You're bloody right blondie!" Freddie said.

"But i have a suggestion... It came from Jilliane..." He said.

"What is it?" They asked.

"Is the Top Of The Pops allow a music video of our single...than to perform it live?" He asked John Reid.

"Well regarding that matter... I think yes..." John Reid said.

"So Roger you mean we have to create a music video for Bohemian Rhapsody?" Freddie asked.

"Precisely Fred!" He said.

"A music video... That is a good idea... Also to prevent miming!... As you remember the time we perform last time there... We only did lip sync" Brian said.

"Yeah...you're right!" Roger said.

"Then let's have it! Let's create a music video of Bohemian Rhapsody!.. Now we must think of ideas for the video! For we do not have time left... We need to rehearse for the tour! We will become more busy! And John Reid will have plenty of paper work to do from this day onwards!" Freddie exclaimed.

"You're right Freddie! I will talk to Bruce Gowers to direct your music video!" John Reid said .

"Do it and we will think of the concepts now!" Freddie said to him.

And John Reid starts to dialed on the phone to contact Bruce Gowers for the Bohemian Rhapsody music video.
