>Alex's POV<
Class was hell.
I couldn't stop thinking about how Johm was acting, he knows how I get with aggression. Why would he cause a scene like that?
As I walked out of class, I noticed a scatter of papers in front of my locker. I groaned and assumed they were mine until I saw Thomas quickly picking them up. I walked over to him and tapped his shoulder lightly "need help Jefferson?"
"Um sure, thanks" I bent down to help him collect his things when I noticed a paper with my name on it.
what the hell is that?
Before he looked in my direction, I carefully and quickly folded the letter and put it in my back pocket. I handed him the rest of his papers and smiled "there you go! Be careful next time dork!" I pushed his head back with my palm and laughed softly before opening my locker, he got up and leaned against the wall beside me. "How dare you push me away!" He laughed softly and glared down at me playfully. "Oh come on!" I shut my locker and looked up at him "you're a dork," I placed my hand on his chin and made him meet my eyes.
I could feel his face heat up as we both got lost into each others eyes.

"ALEXANDER!!" a voice sharply called out, I snapped out of it and messed Thomas' hair up before walking away.  John, Laff, and Herc were waiting for me at the end of the hallway
"Hey guys!-"
"Come on. Let's find a table." John cut me off and began walking away, I arched my brow. "The fuck his problem?" Herc and Laff shrugged and chuckled softly "He's just being bitchy this morning Alex, ignore him." Herc wrapped his arm around my neck as we all walked into the cafeteria.

>Third Person<
Alexander, Lafayette, and Herc sat at the table John was already patiently waiting at. The atmosphere was cold and quiet.
Alexander could feel John's glare on him, he couldn't help but begin to slightly shake. The tension between the two surely made everyone uncomfortable, Laff had enough. "John why don't we go get something to eat? I'll pay!" Laff grabbed John's arm and pulled him into the lunch line, "I'll be back Alex I'm gonna go get my lunch from the locker room!" Herc smiled and got up.
Alexander looked around to see if anyone he knew was around.
No one.
He grabbed the paper that Jefferson had dropped from his back pocket, he opened the letter and noticed it was all written in french. Alexander smirked softly, he had grown up in a Caribbean island that mostly spoke French so he was rather fluent in reading and speaking the language.
He began reading.

Dear Alexander,
I know this letter may never be formally addressed to you, but my therapist and my mind believe I should write down how I feel about certain people. I'm confused by my thoughts of you, at times I could despise you with every bit of myself, yet at the same time I couldn't. I can't bring myself to truly admit to myself that I despise you even though I tell everyone I do. I can't seem to believe that I do. Ever since the day I met you I'd always been intrigued with the way your mind functions, the way you rapidly speak your mind. How you throw the first punch in debates. How your nose scrunches up when you smile and laugh. How your hair falls in your face when you're arguing. How even though I could tell you I hate you
I know deep down
I could never.
I'm confused with the way you make me feel, you remind me of pandora's box.
As much as I want to discover more about you. Concequences will come with it. There's more to write, but this is how I feel so far.
Sincerely,
Thomas Jefferson

Alexander sat there in complete shock. He couldn't tell if what he read was real, he continued to read the letter over and over and over again. He felt a heat spread across his face as he read the details the Virginian man had noticed about him, "he notices all of that?" He mumbled under his breathe.
"He notices what?"
Alexander jolted up and saw Laff, Herc, and John sitting across from him.  He gulped softly and put the letter back in his pocket quickly and hoped they didn't notice.

They noticed.
