Chapter-6

Aram's POV

Aaah.... I wish today to be a peaceful day. We were  on our usual table waiting for Kat to join us. Last day she said she was in no mood for an explanation and promised to give one today.

What bemused us more is that out of nowhere some girl showed up and had a conversation with Kat. And that had effected her badly. What is this??

"It is good if she have a better explanation". John broke the silence.

"You are right". I said, still in my thoughts.

"Hey... I'm here". Kat said, beating the the table to get our attention.

"Yeah... You are!! So, it's time we go for a long talk". John made it clear.

"Hey....don't take it so seriously guys... I can explain". She said.

"Of course, you will explain. But, try not to lie. Okay??". I said giving her the cue to talk.

"You think I will lie to you guys?". She asked terror struck in her eyes as the meaning of my words sank into her. She knew that we never liked the girly-girls and especially the lying ones.

Yeah!! It is true that it had been only about two weeks that we came to know each other. But, unfortunately or fortunately, once someone enters into our circle then they are all ours. Nothing matters.

"Sorry... I didn't mean it that way... We are afraid that you will be no different from other girls...". I trailed off without knowing what to say further, already regretting for not keeping my mouth to myself.

"Trust me. I must've told you this earlier. But I didn't get a chance to. See, I never thought it to happen this way. It hadn't been even a month that we got close. So that, we can say that I haven't got enough time to feed you with this part of my life story. Okay??". She said and winked at us.

"Okay, then. So, what was all that fuss about?". John asked.

"I don't know". She said head hung low.

"So, are you saying you don't know what happened then back in the canteen?". I asked, one eyebrow raised.

"No... I know exactly what happened there. But what I don't know is why she reacted that way..". She corrected.

"I know you guys are really confused because I myself is really confused and exhausted of what all happened. Here is what I can do, I can give you my part of the story". That was it, she started digging into her food and we waited for her to finish her lunch & give us a reasonable  explanation.

"BTW, why are you late?? Why weren't you here in the morning?? You weren't even attending the calls". John asked as she was finishing her food.

"Hey... Don't go overboard. I'm a girl. I'll have my reasons". She said eyeing John and he was dumbfounded at that.

"That is why they are saying that 'you should not  only have guy friends but girl too' ". She said faking a proud tone.

"Who says?" John asked very innocently.

"Oh my dear friend. The saying just goes that way". She said with a smile.
She always uses 'oh my dear friend' when somebody asks any blunder or mostly when she will have to explain even the silliest things to John.

"Oh... Is that so?". He asked.

"Yup". We answered together.

"Oh... By the way, did all your curiosity drained out while I was having my.....". She stuffed the last piece of leftover of her food in her mouth and didn't even bother to finish the sentence.

"Well... It is just... What if that too was some girly stuff..". I suggested and John nodded. And john continued for me;
"And we think it's okay for us. It has been only weeks. And this is the first time we are taking in a girl into our circle, mostly because you are so different from other typical girls. Even then, you are a girl. So, we will have to put up with little bit of dramas. But it's no big deal, if it's for you". This time I nodded agreeing him.

"Hey... Don't say it that way. It sounds like you are already regretting for taking me in". She pouted a little.

"No man... Even if you are tired of us, there is no way that we let you go". I said, pointing that even if it is to hell she will be coming with us.

"See... Didn't I tell you before? Don't call me 'man' in public. They might doubt my gender. Only I knows that you are calling me like that because you guys are such weirdos". She said with a half smile playing on her lips.

"Sorry....". I said, fingers on my ears.

And then John-the weirdo, put his hand on my head & said; "you are forgiven my son". And like that, we 3 bursted out laughing.

"Okay... Then about yesterday..". Kat started to say when we finished laughing for no reason.

"Only if you are willing...". I said.

"It's nothing much of a thing. It's just about me, that I can't say without any emotion. It's just that... It's an emotion-loaded part... For me ". 

"It's a lot of 'it's' . Isn't it?". John asked after hearing out Kat.

"Yup". She said smiling.

"Okay, then... We're all ears on you". He said.
