chapter III - summer hearts

she was alone,

listening to the sea

the sunset she wanted to see

up until the twilight she believed

white foam, mermaids hadn't been freed

Lorde was playing,

from the speakers she sang

in the sea, in the waves, she danced

the warm water of the night splashed

she was, by the chilling wind, gently caressed

she was alone,

or so she thought

people were there

but she did not care

about the hair

in her face,

as she looked at the space,

at the stars, at Mars

wet her clothes became,

as her summer heart longed to find another one

of his kind,

he did not find

where are all the summer hearts,

all the lost souls?

are they all playing a part?
