CHAPTER 9: The Big Three...? (Part 1)

I kinda had to separate this chapter into two parts since it's pretty long. Enjoy Part 1!

 "We need to choose a time where we know the villains won't be too active and where we won't be shown as vulnerable. We leave as soon as possible. Maybe not immediately, but definitely sometime this week..." Midoriya muttered.

"Wait, Midoriya," Todoroki stopped him abruptly. Midoriya looked back at him in confusion, and Todoroki continued: "First I have a question." It was only when Midoriya nodded that Todoroki proceeded.

"Why...why did you suggest such a dangerous activity?" asked Todoroki, "I'm not against it, but...you of all people should be the last person to let me get involved in such a dangerous plan..." Midoriya laughed and turned away with a glimmer of sadness in his eyes.

"You know, I'm surprised, too...After all, it makes me less of a hero...," he said, laughing humorlessly, "But at the same time...you're my friend and I understand you. I have...a father...whom I've never met. Mom never told me about him, and she always changes the subject whenever I brought him up. I've tried everything to find even the slightest bit of information on him. But...to this day, I don't even know his name." He trembled slightly and clutched his chest, "It hurts. Losing a part of your family that you never even knew about. And it hurts even more to be powerless against that. So when I heard about your brother, plus all that pain you were going through...I wanted you to take action somehow. My father cannot be found, but there's hope for you. I hesitated telling you the DNA plan, but now...I'm certain you'll be able to pull it off."

"How so?" asked Todoroki. Midoriya looked back at him with a smile.

"Remember that time where we saved Kacchan?" he inquired, "It was wrong, stupid, and dangerous but..."

"We succeeded in the end," Todoroki finished, smiling at the reactions of the villains when they took Bakugo away from their grasp.

"Exactly!" Midoriya said with a confident nod.

There was a loud SLAM that made the two boys jump. Todoroki thought his heart was going to pound out of his chest as he turned his head towards his door to see who....

"K-Kacchan!" Midoriya squeaked, clearly unexpecting their new guest. Huh, how coincidental...

The blond had one of his leg sticking out, which caused Todoroki to assume that he had carelessly kicked his dorm door open. His slanted red eyes glowing with what appears to be irritation.

"You know you can knock, right?" said Todoroki blankly.

"I don't need to knock, the door was open," Bakugo retorted back. He walked over to Todoroki's bed and stood in front of him with his chest all puffed out, as if ready for combat. He was glaring at Todoroki, who returned his glare back passionately. The sympathetic, heart-warming atmosphere in the room was suddenly dark and angry.

"What do you want?" asked Todoroki in an obviously irritated tone, "We were having a private discussion."

"Don't 'what do you want' me. I know you and this shitty nerd are onto something," he snarled, gesturing towards the frightened Midoriya, "Plus, I saw that look on your face when you left that shitty hospital room. Recovery Girl told you something important, didn't she?"

Okay, seriously, how many people were spying on Todoroki after he left Recovery Girl's office? Midoriya, now Bakugo! Inner Todoroki felt a little self-conscious being watched without his knowing. He felt anger welling up inside him.

"You assume suspicion over me because of my expression?" said Todoroki mockingly, "How much more immature can you get?"

Bakugo scowled fiercely.
