(A few weeks after the previous chapter)
(Hiccups POV)
We must do what we must, something to live by I may say. Knowing that someone will eventually come for us, being prepared and alert is always good. When I say being always aware, meaning that who knows who or what will come for me or my family and friends. Whether it be an army with extremely powerful weapons or to another extraterrestrial attack. I have only encountered one race, the one that has caused death, destruction, chaos, and as well as our ban. Knowing these things, we must be careful and the most alert that we have ever been. Meaning that we keep a low profile, not buying a single thing, hiding our faces, turning off all communications with the outside world, and on the upmost, staying away from the city and our houses. With this in mind, we now have been living in the dense forest for weeks. We do not use any form that might be related to signaling, no smoke which leads to no fires. No more than the final scream that might come out of an animal before we kill it. Nobody knows where we have disappeared to, there are missing and wanted signs for our heads. The constant amount of Patroling officers has made everybody in the city worried, I know these things because I ventured a tad bit too far out of the forest. I have also heard chatter that the sergeant that helped us was killed for withholding information about our location. We will eventually come out to face the one who killed that sergeant and the person who made us who we are. If we do, we have to be fearless, and never, NEVER hesitate to do what is needed, even if it means killing someone. I know who did it, I know who killed the sergeant and the president...It was the one instated the ban on us hybrids, the current president, whose name I do not know. Recently, I have been seeing large amounts of metal being moved, and this isn't just metal, technology used for deep-space communication. Assuming that it is what I think it is, it can be very dangerous. Where these things were being moved to is at the South-Western part of the island, and this island isn't very big though. Our island is about the size of Rohde Island in the United States. I went southwest to go and check it out, and sure enough, I was right. They were building a giant communications tower and satellite, and to process the information, a quantum computer, which is a very expensive and very advanced piece of machinery. Learning this information, I decided to coordinate an attack soon, to be sure that everybody is ready and trained. If I think what that tower is going to be used for is true, this could be even worse than I thought it would've been. I was sitting on top of the tallest tree in the forest when Astrid came up to talk to me.
"I figured that I'd find you up here." She said.
"Why so? Because I'm always up here or that it has a beautiful view?" I asked.
"A bit of both, do you really, and I mean, really want to destroy that tower? You know what kind of weapons they have, they can kill us, the kids as well."
"I'm going to take that risk because if what I believe that tower is going to be used for is true, we could run the risk of being killed, and the entire earth as well. You remember what happened to me, I nearly died from the previous one, and if this comes true and they are more powerful than ever, we can be in serious trouble. Adding to that, I am the most powerful one here! I don't give a damn for what happens to me, I only care about what happens to you, our daughter, family, and friends, hell the whole entire damn plant! You care do you not?!"
"Of course I care! But I do care for what happens to you! Ever since we were 16, I knew that you were the one for me! You can never be replaced by anybody else! You heard me right, never! So please! If you do want to destroy it, please, be my guest! If you attack them, they probably already have a steady line of communication with them, if you attack, and the president is who I think it is, will send a distress call and then, whoever they have contact with will be right on their way to earth. You know that he is trying to rule the world, don't encourage him even more with this attack. I know that the next attack is going to be more powerful than ever, and I can assure that out crazy ass president will end up killing us all. If you are shot, and I know that it will end up killing you because it is the material that is all of our weaknesses. You know that our daughter has been raised without you for eight years, and I don't want that number to get bigger, so please call it off for my sake, for her sake."
