It's my first day at Pigswick Academy. The sun is shining bright and there's a light breeze in the air. I put on my brand new robes and head down the old creaky stairs. On the dining room table there's a letter with my name written on it with hard to read curly handwriting. I open it, it's a letter from my father. I read it aloud
"My dearest Amelia, have a great time at the best wizarding school in the spiral. You'll make a lot of memories and friends. Strive for the top and become one of the spirals greatest Earth wizards. I wish you the best of luck. Papa."
I smiled and put the letter into my satchel. I opened the wide wooden door and left the house. Most houses in Wysteria have a Spanish look to them with the red tiled roofs and coloured walls. There's overgrown vines all over the streets and houses. It's quite a far distance to the entrance of the academy and I don't want to miss orientation. I think about what my fathers doing in Monquista and if he's safe, the lawns there are extremely strict. I finally get to the spiral city door and enter. Spiral doors are used to travel to different worlds in the spiral or to teleport to different parts in your world, it's very convenient. I make it to the entrance of Pigswick Academy and to my surprise no ones there, am I early? Ahead of me I see a woman walking inside. "Excuse me, has orientation started?" I asked. The woman turned around to me. She has white hair and tiny glasses resting on her nose and an oversized green and yellow robe. "Oh hello there, young wizard. Yes it's just about to start! Come meet me in the library. It's the domed building just up ahead." She answered in a cheery voice. I let out a sigh of relief and walked through the gates and entered the library. There were about twenty of us waiting inside. Most were human some were from all kinds of places in the spiral, one looked like they were from Mooshu and another maybe from Avalon. I sat down at one of the chairs and read a book about pets. About a minute later Mrs. Dowager, the woman I just met outside, asked us to gather round. "Welcome, young wizards! Today is your first day so don't worry about classes just yet. I'll be going over what we'll be doing today, firstly you will all be taking the aptitude test in the tournament hall, there you'll be assigned your school! Don't worry too much about it you don't need to do much at all. After that you'll be assigned dorm rooms, each one for two students. And finally you get to pick a wand, that is if you don't have one already. That's it for the first day! I'll see you all tomorrow and good luck!" She finished while teleporting away. Aptitude test, huh. I wonder if I'll be an Earth wizard like my father. "I-I'm so nervous..." One student said to herself. "Hah I'm not, I already know what I'm gonna be, Ember!" Another said. "You don't get to choose, dimwit..." someone else replied. As I exited the library a small blue dragon came flying towards me. "AAH!" I screamed. Just before it flew into me a small girl grabbed it tail and fell on the ground. "Kyaaah!" She yelped as she fell. "Oh my god, are you okay?" I asked, still confused on what happened. She stood up and dusted herself off. She had short black hair and gleaming blue eyes. "I'm so sorry! I don't know what's gotten into him..." She said while head locking her little dragon. "It's fine." I laughed. "You don't happen to have any allocators on you?" She asked trying to keep her drooling dragon still. "Oh, yes I actually do, my father bought them for me yesterday as a goodbye gift, haha he knows they're my favour-" Before I could finish my sentence her dragon reached into my satchel and snatched them out. "Kubo! Bad boy!" She growled trying to get them off him. "I'm so sorry! It's his favourite snack... I can buy you some more!" She blurted. "It's fine, really I still have a few left anyway." I replied giggling. "I'm Kira DragonHeart by the way." She mumbled with a squeaky voice. "And I'm Amelia PearlFlower, nice to meet you." I responded. She smiled back at me. Kubo flew around me and licked my cheek. "Haha, I think he likes you." Kira giggles. "Ha, yeah. Wanna wall to the duelling hall with me?" I asked her, wiping off the little dragons saliva off my cheek. "Sure! C'mon, Kubo let's go." Kira giggled.
