Breathe in, breathe out. It's time to enter a world of pain and suffering. One where you must leave your heart at the door unless you want it to be broken and crushed into tiny pieces. This cruel war, worse than any world war. This is the gay love triangle, and it will go down in history.
I open the door to English, strutting in with my head held high and my lips pressed together tightly. "Hey Luca!" Nick waves to me.
I look at him and then look away to show that I'm upset. "Someone's mad," Jake mutters.
Nick turns around, still trying to talk to me. "I said hi!"
I don't say anything, meanwhile Jake seems to get a kick out of it. "I think he knows, he's ignoring you."
I see Nick looking confused from the corner of my eye. "What's wrong?" he asks.
"I don't know why he's mad, but I'm pretty sure it has something to do with you," Jake chuckles.
Nick lets out a heavy sigh. "I'm sorry if I made you mad. I thought we had a good time last night."
Finally, I have something to say to that statement. "Yeah, and I'm sure you'll have an even better time tonight."
Nick's eyes widen. "Wait are you talking about Jake and I?"
"Well you're not hanging out with me, so yeah I am."
Jake smirks. "Oh so you're jealous that I'm hanging out with Nick and not you. You know, you could've set up another date with me."
I turn to Jake and glare. "I don't want another date with you, I'm not into you anymore."
Jake sits back, a little shocked. "Oh, that's cool I guess." He looks to the side, like he hasn't processed what I said.
I turn my attention to Nick. "I wanted to hang out with you today, but I guess it doesn't matter since you're too busy trying to get with the flirty stripper."
"Did you just call me a stripper?" Jake asks, but I ignore him.
"I just don't get why you even did that last night if you like him. Why are you toying with me? Is it fun to you?" I get angrier with every question and accusation.
Nick looks shell shocked. "N-No! That's not it at all! Luca, I do like you! Last night wasn't fake, I swear. I didn't mean to hurt your feelings."
I roll my eyes, then look to the side. "Whatever, I get it. You don't want me to be mad at you, since normally everyone loves you all the time. Don't worry, I won't talk to you anymore so you can be happy without care."
Nick's jaw drops for a few seconds. "No. Luca I want you to talk to me. Please, you're my best friend. Let me make it up to you, I'll do anything."
I let out a sigh, trying to think of there's anything he could do to make it up to me. Suddenly Sarah taps my hand from across the table. "You shouldn't trust him."
"Why?" I ask.
"Yeah, why?" Nick glares.
Sarah flips her dyed honey blonde locks like a diva. "Luca, I don't like you, and that's why I decided to hurt you. Well, I'm not really the one hurting you, it's them. Cause when you weren't here yet, they were talking about how they had sex and were trying to hide it from you. They're looking forward to it tonight too. I heard them say that you'd freak out because you're jealous, obsessive and spread lies about people all the time as the gossip queen. Also, I think they said something about each of them making out with you so you felt better about yourself and had more confidence when they start dating. Basically, they've been lying to you and we're just playing your little heart like a grand piano."
