Clara then pointed the gun to her head and asked the CID cop to back off. They knew very well that Clara was a vital asset to that case, hence they had to make sure that she did not blow her head off.

"Put down your guns or I will pull the trigger." She threatened.

The commanding officer of the CID group asked his men to stand down and lower their weapons, then he took two steps towards Clara and said;

"It's now all over Sergeant Clara, just surrender and we can work out something."

"Ha! Ha! Ha! You think I am a fool? I rather die than watch all I have being sacrificing for, go to waste. I can't watch my brother suffer while I can't help." Clara replied laughing at the CID commandant.

"Your brother? Who is your brother?" George, the CID commandant and detective asked sounding curious.

"You don't know what is going on here, do you?" Clara asked sounding sarcastic; she was avoiding George's question.

George looked behind Clara and saw one of her men trying to approach her; he decided to engage her in a conversation so that the cop behind her could get to her and snatch the gun.

By bad luck, Clara heard the cop behind her after he had just gotten close enough to her. She swiftly turned towards him and pulled the trigger, shooting him in the chest. It was not intentional, she had just panicked and pulled the trigger.

After seeing that she had caused the death of one of her agents, Clara decided to finish herself off since she knew the consequences of her actions; but George quickly took his spare gun and shot her arm which was holding the gun.

She dropped the gun and fell on the ground, then the CID quickly grabbed the gun and arrested Clara. She was taken to the HQ health facility to have the bullet in her arm removed, then after being dressed the bullet wound, she was taken to the interrogation room.

Ben as well was brought down to the station and locked up in a different interrogation room. Three different CID officers went to interrogate the three suspects each.

Bosco was willing to cooperate with the CID, but Ben and Clara decided not to talk until they had their lawyer. Bosco's confession was recorded on Camera, then he was detained since he had information which was vital for the case all that while, but he withheld it from the police.

"We will have to hold you for a couple of days before taking the three of you to court. All this while you knew very well that the lady serving a lifetime jail term was innocent but you allowed her suffer and withheld information from the police. Obstruction of justice is a criminal offense punishable by law, but since you cooperated with us and helped us arrest the two suspects, I will see what I can do for you to get a lenient sentence." George said to Bosco then he had him transferred to the detention room.

Only Haman and Joe knew that Carol had been freed. They were not sure how many other people were involved in this conspiracy, hence Carol could not go public yet.

She went to stay at Haman's place since it was the last place anyone would think of finding her. Despite their differences and the hatred she had developed for him, she could not deny the fact that he still fought for her justice and got her out of prison.

Haman apologized for being a jerk earlier on, and because Brenda was Carol's best friend, she decided to go pay her a surprise visit. She was accompanied by Haman and Joe since she was staying upstairs.

Haman was the one who knocked at the door; when Brenda opened and  saw him standing outside her house, she rudely asked him what he was doing there.

"I came to apologize Bree, I was a jerk earlier on and I should not have treated Carol the way I did. I am really Sorry." He replied politely.

"You should go apologize to her and not to me. I don't wanna ever see you knocking on my door again." Brenda replied harshly then she slam the door on his face.

All this while Joe and Carol were hiding beside the wall which was after the door; Carol began laughing at Haman then she knocked again. Brenda thought that it was Haman knocking, so she did not respond to the knock, but Carol was persistent.

Brenda opened the door burning with anger and splashed dirty water on Carol thinking that she was Haman. She did not even check who was knocking; she just fetched some water from the sink with her jug, opened the door and splashed it on the person standing on her doorstep.

After the water had already landed on Carol, that was when she realized that it was Carol she had washed with the dirty water and not Haman.

"Carol?!" She called out shocked.

"Really? Yani umeangalia ukaona anafaa maji ya ugali?" Carol asked making a funny face.

They all laughed out loudly then Carol hugged Brenda with her wet clothes. Brenda invited them in including Haman, then Carol went to clean up and change her clothes; Brenda gave her clean clothes to wear.

"How did you manage to get out of prison?" Brenda asked Carol after she was done cleaning up.

"They got me out." Carol said pointing at Haman and Joe after a heavy sigh.

"Him?" Brenda asked perplexed as she pointed at Haman.

"Actually he is the main reason I got out. He was a jerk yes, but deep down he cared. If it were not for him, I would still be in that dark cell." Carol replied smiling at Haman.

"The CID picked up Ben and Bosco, I think the two will give out other suspects if there are any, but your name has now been cleaned. For the sake of your safety, I think it is best you stay indoors until all the involved culprits are arrested." Haman said to Carol calmly.

Just then Haman received a text message from a strange number; it was a threatening message.

"I warned you not to keep investigating about this case but you decided to take my warning for granted, now you will have to pay the price." The text message read...
