James just grabbed his gun and turned towards Nick; firing two shots. One bullet launched into Nick's chest, but before he went crashing to the ground, he emptied his magazine shooting at them.

Two bullets killed James on the spot, and before Ben could take cover, he also got shot from behind on his back. When Clara saw her brother fly in the air then land with a thunder, she grabbed the gun John was holding and emptied the magazine into Nick; killing him on the spot. John took Ben and together with Clara, they escaped through the rear exit where they had made sure that there were no other cops using it.

Ruth waited for almost ten minutes and she could not see Nick walking out of the building; she decided to go in and check what had happened.

The first thing she saw when she opened the door was the blood flowing like water on the floor. She then looked up and saw Nick's body lying on the ground; she just screamed.

The cops who were around rushed to check what had made Ruth scream, and that was when they discovered that it was all a drill to get the suspects out. By the time back up from the CID HQ arrived, Nick was already dead and Clara had escaped together with John and her brother Ben.

Ben had a bullet in his body and his left lung had been damaged; he needed immediate surgery since he was slowly suffocating. Clara could not risk taking him to the hospital since the CID would find him and arrest him again; she decided to call Claris and have her prepare for the surgery to take place in one of their warehouses.

John had arrangements of how they were going to leave town undetected, so they managed to get to Claris who had already prepared a place for their younger brother to be operated.

They had the best surgeons in town, but the problem was that they did not have adequate facilities to facilitate the surgery. Ben was placed on the surgical table and the surgeons contracted by Claris began to work on him.

His lung was badly damaged and it needed to be taken out; he also had internal bleeding which was suffocating the other lung. The surgeons managed to clear the suffocation, then they went for the damaged lung.

Already Ben had lost too much blood because neither John, nor Clara knew that she was bleeding internally; carrying out the operation without more blood was risking his life. There was no time to look for more blood, his two sisters offered to donate blood for him.

Unlucky for him, his blood type was different from theirs; none of them could donate blood to him. Claris decided to risk it all and she asked the surgeons to carry on with the surgery.

Ben breathed his last breath minutes before the doctors could take out his damaged lung. They tried resuscitating him but he had ran out of blood; his heart had no more blood left to pump.

The surgeon in charge took off his gloves and went to break the bad news to Claris together her sister Clara. Immediately he was done giving them the bad news, Claris took her gun and shot him in the head. She then went to the room where Ben was being operated and shot the other three surgeons as well.

One of them was lucky, she knew the risks of working for dirty cops, and since she was being forced to do it, she had a bullet proof vest inside her clothes.

The bullet launched into the vest, but she played dead and waited for Claris and her sister to leave. The two sisters placed Ben's body in a body bag, then Claris turned to Clara and said;

"We will make them pay for killing our little brother."

Clara had no idea whom her sister was talking about, but she just nodded, then she helped her carry the body into the car.

After they had left, Claire found a chance to escape; she was the lucky surgeon. She wanted to go and report the incident to the police, but she did not know which police to trust; she just decided to go hiding.

When George and his team got to the HQ, they found the cops there trying to clean up the blood on the floor; they had already taken the two bodies left behind.

"Who did this?" George asked Ruth after he saw how brutally Nick had been murdered.

"Our guess is that Nick shot him, then his partner shot Nick and left with Ben and Clara." Ruth replied as she pointed at James' dead body.

George just paid his last respects to Nick then he went and called his agents for a briefing.

"Ladies and gentlemen, this case has now been declared ours officially and it is only authorized to CID agents with access to classified files. We cannot trust these policemen who were working with Clara because we don't know yet if there are others amongst them who are traitors, so I am assigning all of you new tasks. We need to know everything about this Clara woman. I want all units to find out everything they can about her and I want her brought to me, dead or alive. I will also need some few agents to be left here and vet every single police personnel in this headquarters; run all their background checks and make sure that they are clean. Ruth, I know you want payback for Nick, you are now in charge of the search operation." George said to his agents.

He assigned them with different tasks each, then he personally went to search Clara's parents' home. He was accompanied by three other agents, while Ruth and her team searched everywhere in the database trying to locate where Clara could be.

They had no idea that Ben got shot, hence they did not even bother to look into the hospitals. With the help of the devoted policemen in that department ran by Clara, Ruth was able to trace John's family.

Nobody cared about Bosco during the escape plan; he was still in his cell wondering what was going on. Out of anger and frustration, Ruth went to interrogate him first before she went for John's family.

Bosco could not give her much information since he knew very little about Ben and his family, so Ruth lost her temper and began taking off her frustration on him. Lucky enough, one of the CID agents working with Ruth intervened and saved Bosco's life.

Nobody knew that Nick and Ruth were seeing each other and she was two months pregnant for him. All the frustration she was having, it was because her baby daddy had been murdered in cold blood, and the killer was still out there.

"Get the car ready; we are paying John's family a visit." Ruth said to the agent who had stopped her from killing Bosco...
