The bell rang, it's lunch time "Hey Iris! Your turn to buy the drinks today!" My friend Selena called me "ok!" So I went to the vending machine. When I was getting my drink first I caught a glimpse of Jacob, he raised his hand to wave, and I could see him holding a black coffee can. Oh, so he drinks black coffee...
In the school corridor...
Dylan was walking to the canteen when he saw Jacob walking past him. Dylan purposely bumped into Jacob "Oops, sorry dude" Jacob stayed silent and glared at him "Hey, I totally didn't see you man..." Dylan had a face of agony with the fallen can on his foot. "Whoops, sorry I dropped it when you BUMPED into me". Dylan left with a twisted face limping back.
I got myself a drink and was about to get the others drinks too but I saw Dylan coming towards me. I just couldn't face him right now with the situation I'm in. "Iris!" He shouted "H...hi" I said looking down, "Is there anything left at the cafeteria?" I don't even know how to respond to that kind of question! "Um I'm not sure! That reminds me I forgot to get everybody's else's drinks too!!!" Then I ran off. I could feel him staring at the can I was holding.
I went to sit down with everyone at the table. I was about to sip my drink when they noticed my drink, "Black coffee?", "I just felt like it today..!". I took a sip, this tastes so mature... "Hey guys! PE is next right? We are joining another class for netball and basketball for the guys!" My friend shouted. I wonder who's class it is?
I was so embarrassed I could die! We were joining Jacobs class! He waved to me and my heart was beating so fast then I just raised a hand. After the netball match I went to wash my face when I saw Jacob there. "Hey Iris" he said "Hey Jacob!" I tried to act cheerful "Good luck at your next game! I'll be cheering for you!" He looked surprised and said "Um, thanks" I smiled "And we're up against your class though" my mouth was wide open.
I watched them play which seemed like forever so I went to the toilet, Jacob saw me going off and he tripped and fell then Dylan grabbed the ball and made a perfect shot. I looked back and saw Jacob on the floor. I was shocked but then all the girls came rushing up to him, helping him up. I looked down then headed straight to the toilet.
In the infirmary...
"Nghh..", Jacob was in the infirmary with his friends Marcus and Josh. "Hey, you ok dude?" Marcus asked with a worried look, "He's just tired Marcus" Josh said. "Where am I?" Jacob asked, "In the infirmary, you sprained your ankle". Jacob looked confused and looked at his leg, "Ow...dammit". "Oh yeah..." Marcus said as he just realised "A cute girl came in here once you were brought to the infirmary, she looked worried and sad...you know her?" He asked. "She had long black hair with blue eyes and was about your shoulder height, she said her name was...Iris" Josh exclaimed.
"Iris came here?!" Jacob asked shocked, "Yeah, we actually met her, pretty cute". Then Jacob had a dark tone in his voice "Don't you dare call her cute...". They both gulped with sweat running down their head. "Wait, Jacob do you like her?" Marcus asked. Jacob blushed and turned away. "You do?!" Josh said. "Woah...Congrajulations dude!" Marcus exclaimed, "We totally support you" Josh said while clapping. "Yeah but..." Jacob said, Marcus and Josh were waiting for him to finish his sentence. "I'm not sure if she likes me..." He continued.
