Klaus hadn't gotten killed. He had killed all twelve of his hybrids besides Tyler.
And then Carol Lockwood had mysteriously died that same night.
I saw Stefan at the Grill, drinking his way through the liquor supply, sitting across from him. "You think that you don't stink of alcohol, you're wrong."
"Well, Damon slept with Elena, I am sublimating my feelings," Stefan told me. "Please, Kaylin, join me for a drink. I'm sure that it'll take the edge off of you feeling guilty about leading Klaus away into his slaughter."
I gave him a look, hiding a smirk. "You had been listening to us."
"Obviously," Stefan told me, taking a drink. "Drink up, sister. Put me out of my misery."
I smiled a small smile, taking the bottle from him, drinking.
Stefan's phone answered. He looked at the Caller I.D. Unknown Caller. He answered. "What?"
"Guess who?" Rebekah asked. "I'm back, dagger-free, and I'm holding Elena hostage at the high school. Just thought you should know."
"Who the hell was dumb enough to pull the dagger out of you?"
"I'll be asking the questions today. See you soon."
Rebekah hung up.
Stefan looked at me, drinking the rest of the drink. "I need your help to kill Rebekah."
I pulled out my phone, dialing a number. "Whatever."
I led the way toward the exit. Stefan followed.
Caroline answered. "Please tell me you found Stefan and that he's ready to rejoin civilization."
"How would you like to drive the white oak stake through Rebekah's heart?"
"If it means that you guys aren't drinking your way through the Mystic Grill, sure."
Stefan and I walked out of the Grill together.

At the school, Caroline had the white oak stake, sending me a text. 2nd floor clear.
I was walking along another hallway, looking at her text.
I got a text from Stefan. 1st floor. I distract her. K and I hold her. C stakes her.
I quickly and quietly rushed to where I saw Rebekah talking to Stefan. "Hello, Stefan."
Stefan put his phone in his pocket. "I'm here. What do you want?"
"The same thing I wanted when you helped Niklaus dagger me," Rebekah answered, walking closer.
"The Cure," Stefan stated.
Rebekah pushed Stefan against the lockers. I rushed toward her, pushing her against the lockers, Stefan turning to help me hold her.
"I hope you're not waiting for Caroline to show up and stake me," Rebekah told us, showing us the stake. "Because I already found her."
Stefan and I let her go in annoyed defeat.
Rebekah smiled, pushing away from the lockers.
She compelled us to do absolutely everything she said.

We walked into the library.
Caroline and Elena sat at one of the tables.
